Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

Not quite. These pods are the seed pods from my irises that bloomed earlier in the season. I’m hoping to plant some more of them in different areas of my yard. I did read somewhere that you won’t necessarily get the same looking irises when planting seeds from their pods. I don’t know why that is exactly but I figure some irises is better than no irises. So even if they don’t end up looking like their mother plant, they will still look better than just plain grass. ;)
