So we actually have some green beans growing in the garden! Woo-hoo! At first I only saw one but there were a few more hiding behind the leaves. I just had to look a little harder for them. No huge yields yet, but we have to start somewhere! I love fresh green beans from the garden. All others, frozen or canned, pale in comparison.

    *jealous*

We so want our own garden… Next move we make, we will have one.

The beans look beautiful. I would be sitting out there, eating them straight…looking very guilty when caught! [wink]

Blaqberry - I’m actually surprised that you don’t have a garden. It probably would make your life a little easier to have one with all the raw foods you could be growing yourself. Maybe you could do some container plantings?

I keep wanting to try green bean casserole. My friend at work who doesn’t like to eat anything healthy…fruits or veggies, raves about his girlfriend’s green bean casserole. His girlfriend said she uses the recipie from the back of one of those crunchy french onion snacks cans. I gotta try it now. Save some beans for me!

Growing your own food is really a must, these days…for many reasons! We get the same amount of fresh produce we always have before I went all raw. And, of course, it will be even better economically when we do have a garden. Will be great! Now, let’s just hope that we both have green thumbs, haha.

    We have a garden(but H is the expert..lol)
I love green beans too !
We have lettuces, leeks, radishes and green onions(scallions as some say)
We cut back a bit as we couldn’t eat or give away the stuff as fast as it was growing..lol.

Oooh, Merri - I wish I had been your neighbor to benefit from the “giving away” of good veggies. I’m not a great gardener either - I’m all brown thumbs and left feets. LOL. But I try and hey, sometimes you succeed!
