Celebration Tonight

Tonight TGH and I are celebrating because he found his wedding band!

Now to give you the back story: On our third anniversary, which was May 2, TGH was in our back yard building a raised garden for us. His wedding band had been a little loose and he was tossing the old pieces of sod off into the corner of the yard. So, of course, the wedding band came off while he was working out there and we weren’t sure if we’d ever see it again. TGH felt worse about it than I did because it happened smack dab on our anniversary, but I joked about getting one tattooed on him so he couldn’t lose it ever again.

Anyway, since then, the sod in that corner has all wilted away and TGH had to go get a new patch of grass from outside to bring inside for our cats (Jam yakked all over the last batch this morning). When he went to throw the old batch of grass out he decided to look through all the wilted and dead grass in the corner of the yard first and, lo and behold, he found his ring!! Woo-hoo. Now the cats are happy, TGH is happy, and I’m happy. Also, Jam feels much better now. She just has a touchy belly because she is so high-strung.

    That’s fantastic! Amazing you found it! You know, my husband lost his wedding band within the first year while he was outside spreading sawdust around for mulch. Your story gives me hope that we could still find it!

    Yup. Hubs did that too…ended up buying another one! Then found his old one…now he has a spare…ek! lol

    Heather, I hope you and your hubby find his lost ring also! I wouldn’t give up hope! We joked about renting or borrowing a metal detector but really that isn’t such a bad idea and we might have resorted to it but now we don’t need to!

    Wow - Harmonia I’m starting to see a pattern here. Is it a guy thing or what? LOL. Maybe getting them tattooed really IS a good idea! At least for the men. ;)
