Niceties

This is the award I just received from my buddy Katrina at Snapdragons (at least I think Katrina is her name and she hasn’t corrected me!). I somehow snowed her into thinking that I’m the World’s Most Diplomatic Vaguetarian (read about it here), and she thinks I’m nice. Now I don’t want that getting around because we all know what happens to nice people. LOL.
So I’m rushing to pass this award on to some worthy bloggers. If you see yourself listed below then it means you were able to fool me too. 
I didn’t get any instructions with this but I’m assuming that if you want to participate, you can copy the graphic to your site with a little write-up and pass it on to some more nice people. If you don’t want to participate, at least take a copy of the graphic for yourself. It is awfully pretty and you were awarded it regardless of whether you care to pass it on. Fair enough!
I chose this list of people from my blogroll for a specific reason. Personally, I think every person listed on my blogroll is nice. Really, why would I put them there if i didn’t, right? And it would be tough to choose one as being nicer than another since some I haven’t “known” as long as others. So my formula for choosing who should receive the award was simple: The first five people who were nice enough to admit they had me on (or would be adding me to) their blogroll. Lisa - I’ll trust you to take the award now and won’t make you wait until you add me. LOL. The winners are:
- Penny - If mine is a site like Seinfeld, then Penny’s is like Curb Your Enthusiasm. She has a variety of different interesting, fun, and thought-provoking things on her site and she was nice enough to be the first to admit she had me on her blogroll.
- Harmonia - Harmonia was the first non relative to comment on my blog. She has been nice to me from that very first day. And she has consistently been nice and put up with me. So yeah, basically, she’s a saint.
- Merri - Merri always has a kind word, a soft heart for the animals, and a bright disposition. If you look up nice in the dictionary I think there is a picture of Merri. Well, there is in MY dictionary, anyway.
- Lisa - I “met” Lisa through my friend Heather (see blogroll). I’m sure everyone already knows I think Heather is nice. So I figured as nice as Heather is, the people on her blogroll have to be pretty darned nice too. So I checked and I found Lisa. I was right.
- Laura - She’s forthright and funny, a great writer and honest, holds no bars (think I just mangled that last saying, oh well - still true). How she is able to do all that and still be nice to top it off is beyond me. Allright, I know I told her I wouldn’t spread it around that she was nice, but I can’t help it if she fell into my criteria for winning this award. And she is nice. I like that.

Aw, Hannah you are so sweet. And you are also one of the nicest cyber friends I have. I seriously wanted to award this to everyone on my blogroll but then people wouldn’t think it was special so I had to devise a way to award it. LOL. I’m thinking of creating my own award too. I think I’d have fun coming up with a graphic. And then I would really be able to award it for a good reason (not that being nice isn’t a good reason - oh, you know what I mean! LOL) So don’t be surprised if you get a message from me in the near future saying you won a prestigious Teeni award or something like that. heehee. I laugh, but I’m totally serious! In the meantime I’m still trying to figure out how to get this graphic to show up in my own sidebar. I’ve already forgotten how I got that Schmoozer one there!

Oh Penny it is very good and funny. It is written by Larry David (and stars Larry David) who is the writer and co-creator of the Seinfeld television show. A new season of the show will be starting on September 9. I don’t know if you will be able to see it where you are but I hope so if it can bring you a laugh.
Aww. (at first i typed asss thinking that my fingers were in the right place, and then i thought - woah, that’s not very nice at all, for you to give me a niceness award and then me retaliate with ‘asss’ so i corrected the typo cuz i know how you like to correct my typos and all.)

Merri, I created mine in the blogroll and used “Awards” as a category to get it to show up there and put the pic of the image in the Advanced area down below. Hope that helps!

No worries, Laura! I just rechecked and get this - my blog is back at a “G” rating!! So not only does that rater not include comments, it also must only consider the posts that are visible on a page (not the older ones that you have to click through to view again) because otherwise I don’t know how I regained my “G” status when last I knew I was “PG.” LOL

Teeni - your “prestigious” awards sound very intruiging! Of course I understand that you couldn’t choose everybody! But I wanted to let you know that you REALLY deserved it!!
