I Made the Spotlight!

I could just tell this was going to be a good month! My friend Opal regularly posts about bloggers or posts that made her think. And I made the most recent one! Specifically, my post about positive thinking (you can read it here) caught her attention. This is quite an honor as Opal is a highly respected pro blogger on a variety of blogs. It amazes me that she even has time to glance at my blog with all that she does, yet she makes time to comment as well! She is an inspiration to me and a joy of a person. Can you tell I’m pleased? Go here to read the nice things she said about me (I did NOT have to pay her for this). And visit some of her other blogs as well. She may be called Opal, but she really is a diamond, as evidenced by her many facets! Thank you, Opal.

Thanks for the mention I definitely wasn’t expecting it. You deserved it. I’m definitely not a pro blogger sure I do make money off from writing on my blogs, but I don’t think of myself as one. I do enjoy blogging maybe a little too much.
I think its important to recognize other bloggers out there and I really try to focus on the newer bloggers. It’s also a fabulous way for my readers to meet others that I think are fabulous. Which is why two of my people were you and Mike Goad.
Pelf has been blogging for a little over a year but I had to mention her because of the causes she actively promotes are very important. I try to support her whenever possible.
One thing I’ve noticed is that many of true “pro bloggers” that I see in the “blogging spotlight” focus on people that most everyone knows in the “pro blogging arena” and I find that boring. Yeah, I already know who they are I want to meet new people.
There are numerous bloggers that capture my attention who hasn’t been around for years or who have thousands reading them. We all start with not too many knowing who we are unless we come into blogging as a “celebrity” or told a lot of people about our new endeavors.
I’ve been there before when I started blogging, and I’m there again with my two blogs (not even one week old) and my four (two - four months old blogs), at times it can be hard to stand out amongst the millions of blogs that are out there, but you definitely won’t have a problem with that.
You’ve come a long way since you entered the blogosphere, and you did that by being yourself. You have a postive & unique voice and you use those tools well. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone! See why I am addicted to this blogging thing now? Who wouldn’t be with all this positive attention I’m getting. My head must be swelling like a watermelon. Oh, please don’t let me ever get a big head and lose any of my readers!!!!! Yikes.
