This is PIP - Do You Know Why?

My SIL#1 and her hubby got a new addition to their family. This is Pip. Isn’t he adorable?
Well, being the fun couple that they are, SIL#1 and her hubby also had a contest to see if anyone in the family could figure out why they named the kitten Pip. The hints we were given were that
- it had to do with a physical characteristic
- it was in Wikipedia
Well, you all know I’m having a really good month with this kind of stuff so you know who won the contest? ME! Yay for ME!!! LOL. So anyway, I want to pass this contest on to you and see if the rest of you can figure out why Pip was named Pip. Sorry, there is no prize for this one, just the sinful pride that comes with being right! heehee.
I will leave this open until Monday (Aug 27) night and then post in comments what the answer is/who the winner is.
Oh yeah, by the way, SIL#1 also announced she is pregnant!!! Happy, happy, joy, joy! Soon, I’ll have ANOTHER niece or nephew to write Teeni’s Tips for!

I am going to guess that it’s because she is black, like the dot on dice or dominoes??
But it’s purely a guess and only because I don’t know anythign about any of the characters mentioned in the wikepedia def!

I thought It was for Pip the Hobbit… o.o
cause their house has all the fantasy stuff and the LOTR swords way up high in the livingroom…
Perhaps I am wrong?
