T ‘n’ T Times - What is It?

What is that mysterious tab at the top of the blog? I know you’ve been wondering and you may have even clicked there only to find that you did not know the password to go any further. What is that all about? Well, I’ll tell you because I don’t want it driving you crazy the way missing puppet twins drive me crazy!

The T ‘n’ T Times is a family newsletter that I publish every three months for my extended family and close friends who TGH and I may not get to see as often as we’d like. We want to keep them posted on what is going on in our lives and give them a chance to send us news that is going on in their lives. I’ve been publishing it for over six years now. If you don’t have the password to get in - it’s not because I don’t like you! It’s because I’m protecting the anonymity of my family and friends whose images I have used in the newsletter but have no right to put on the internet without their permission.

I used to print all the copies of the newsletter myself and mail them via snail mail, but the cost of printing/ink/postage/paper is too high for me to continue doing it that way. So now I have slashed my costs by being able to publish electronically. I still print some paper copies for our readers who don’t have a computer or access to a computer but I’m hoping to go all electronic sometime - it would be a lot easier.

So now you know! Does anyone else publish a newsletter? We should share notes!

that’s such a good idea, i can’t imagine how much work that is. good for you!

It IS a lot of work, Laura. Thanks for noticing. But it is also pretty rewarding as everyone seems to enjoy it and I hear about it if they miss an issue! LOL

I agree with Laura, that is a great idea! Something else that is unique about yours is how often you publish it! We usually see family newsletters only once a year. You’re the glue in your family Teeni!
Thanks for quelling our curiosity about the mysterious tab!

Thanks Heather! I always thought it was so wrong to only send out a newsletter during the holidays or at the end of the year. I thought of the other 364 days during the year that some of my older relatives might like to get something in their mailbox besides a bill. So that is why I chose the quarterly cycle. And sometimes I don’t know what I’m going to write about but since it is all in fun I never seem to have a problem filling up four pages worth! LOL

That is a great idea. I don’t do a newsletter but we do pring off all my blog posts and mail them to my hubby’s grandmother.

Kami - that is an AWESOME idea! That’s sort of your own little family newsletter! I bet she LOVES getting it!

I used to send out a health newsletter and I still (occasionally) send out a home made remedies newsletter. I’ll be getting back into doing both within the next few months. My workload should be less hectic and I’ll be able to pick up additional interests.

That is so thoughtful of you to do that and I’m not surprised. Perhaps you’ll be my auntie in my next lifetime. ;-) You’re one cool aunt and all around nice person.

Opal - you just gave my heart a hug - what a sweet thing to say. And if I were your aunt I sure would be one very proud little auntie!!!
