Contests All Around

Posted on November 19, 2007 - Filed Under Contest, Writing/Blogging

There are a couple of contests I’m participating in lately and I want to make sure you all know about them. Plus, part of the contest rules are to mention them on my site and link back. That is only fair.

So, I’m participating in the following contests and you might like to as well.

It’s not too late to enter these contests so get moving if you want in! I’m still working on my letter for AntiBarbie. But here are my photos for the contest at Hannah’s.

Yes, this is my great niece. I may not be a great photographer, but I do have a beautiful subject. TGH and I took her on this little outing. We did get to ride that train - it was fun. In the last shot, she is concerned about the squirrels chasing each other high up in those trees. They seemed to be putting on a little show for us.

I love the choo choo train! :) Cute little girl. Is that a ostrich on the fence? I have good eyes. lol

You do have a great pair of eyes! That is her favorite little stuffed animal. The little ostrich is named Peachy I believe. He went with us everywhere. ;)

Thanks for the submission- Your niece is so cute! I’ll go add your entry to the roster right now.

Thanks, Hannah! I think I should get extra points for having an ostrich in the picture too. Not everyone can say that! LOL.

She is adorable. And I think maybe, she looks a bit like you?

    Good luck on the contests:-)

She actually does look a bit like me. Some people think her mom is my daughter. So there has to be some family resemblance there. But she is soooo much cuter than me. And smarter. Soon I’ll have her doing my web pages and stuff. But I don’t want to put her to work too early cuz she’s only just turned five and there are child labor laws and stuff. LOL.

Thanks, Calamity! I’m going to try and stay positive and win a couple of these!!!! :)

I can’t wait to see your entry! :D
LOL! I can’t wait to see what I come up with either! Yikes! ;)

I have one of those stuffed animals too! That is why I recognized it. ;)
LOL. Oh, you are bold. You don’t even claim that they are your daughter’s stuffed animals! Too funny. I don’t have many stuffed animals myself but I will admit that my great nieces ostrich IS a really cute one. The few I have are cats or teddy bears.

oh they are so cute :) i am sorry but,i had to laugh at those last 2 sentences!

Well, I assume you mean about the squirrels but they are so acrobatic in the trees that it DID seem like they were putting on a show! It always amazes me that they don’t fall out of the trees! ;)

Thanks about the pics and thanks for the luck! I think the contests sound like fun too. Each one is different so that keeps things interesting. ;)

I was pretty sure you meant the squirrels. But then I thought you might have been talking about the earlier comment. LOL. But thanks, I’m glad you think she is cute. I do too! :)

Very nice! I love the last one — it looks like she’s talking to the tree. (I’ve been known to do it. Very seldom do they talk back.)

LOL. Thank you Lucia! So glad you returned the visit! I see we are both from the same state. Please feel welcome to visit the Vaguetarian Tea Room any time!
