Yeah, I’m Thinking It Will be White

Posted on December 24, 2007 - Filed Under Snow, Uncategorized, picture post

for the holiday this year. These pics are from two days ago but I don’t think this stuff is going anywhere anytime soon!

No the above picture is not photographic evidence of snow ghosts. It is the wind blowing drifts around, combined with snow still in the air and coming down - I guess the light and camera just catches it in an interesting way.

It looked like my snow dancing worked for you and ole Mac. lol ;-) You can both send some my way.

Yes, it definitely did. And I’d teach my dance to you if I could but it normally just makes people laugh so hard that they wet themselves when they see me do it which is why I usually dance when nobody is watching. ;)

    Darling Girlie,

Lovely photos. Are you so very sure it’s not snow ghosts? Snow ghosts might just be a wonderous omen - sometimes we may see the reaason(s) why they are around and sometimes not, eh?

I’ve gotten to where I don’t take many things at face value anymore but I’ve also come to a point where I don’t always have to know the answer(s) why - if indeed there are any.

I read a line in a book lately that said something along the lines that it isn’t up to us to understand - it’s not our job and I thought what a comforting way to look at some things in our lives.

I came to wish you some peace, joy and love in your life today - and like I’ve said - everyday.

Peace, love and understanding to all.

P.S.To Opal - I’ll send off a box immediately! Have fun “dashing through the snow…”

Oh, yes - that is a great line to remember. It is not our job to understand. I do get so frustrated at times trying to figure things out in my own little head at times. So I’ll try and remember that one. Thanks so much for sharing. And now that I think about it yeah, those COULD be snow ghosties. :D

Wow…looks like a decent snow. Where is your snow angel? ;)
Nuts. You caught me! I didn’t really make one. But that is only because I was afraid I’d never be able to get up again if I laid down in that stuff. LOL It is quite awesome snow for snowballs and snowmen. TGH knows about the snowballs because I throw them at him when he is trying to shovel our driveway. You know, when I’m taking a break from helping him. heehee. :D

Lovely pictures. The mid USA snowfall has been headline news on SKY news here. Sorry to hear that there are thousands with out power due to the snowstorms.

Hope you and yours enjoy a lovelyholiday. x :-)
Oh yes, Penny - we certainly have enough to share here. Fortunately we haven’t lost power due to the storms but many have and I’m hoping and praying they are getting through the season okay. Best wishes to you and yours also! So glad you dropped by today! :)

Oh I love your meez! how cute.
    (((hugs))) Happy Christmas!!!

Thanks, Cowgal - I had used one a couple times before and inserted her right into the page I was posting on cuz I didn’t think I could put her in the sidebar. But then I actually saw you had put yours in your sidebar on a WordPress blog so I knew it could be done. I tried again and succeeded! So thank YOU very much!!! :) And a wonderful holiday season to you as well!!! :) :)

We’re usually covered in snow here as well; but for some reason, all the snow has melted!!! I want a white Christmas!!! Okay, I’m done whining ;0)

Oh, ours has melted a little but we still have plenty! I’ll try and send some your way, VeggieGirl! ;)

Wow, it’s so beautiful… I just love snow. Sadly, we just got rain here which washed away almost all of our existing snow, so I don’t know if we’ll have a “white Christmas” anymore. Ah well, enjoy your snow!

Awww, I’d send you some if I could! :( But well, you have the important things - shelter, food, and loved ones. That is the most important. Enjoy - I’m sure we’re not nearly done with snow for the season anyway. -Yikes! :D

Wow! Here in New Zealand we have summer fr Xmas, whih I mostly wouldn’t change, but snow looks like an awful lot of fun…

Hi Leaf! Welcome to the Vaguetarian Tea Room. I totally understand what you are saying. Home is home and nobody wants to change that. But yeah, snow does have it’s own magical qualities and it really can be a lot of fun. Especially with kids or some fun loving adults (you know, for snowball fights!). I hope you get to experience it sometime - I think you’d enjoy it, especially if you didn’t have to live with it all the time. ;)

    GoodNESS! No thanks!
Pretty, yes . . but geez!

LOL. I understand, totally, Ms. Red. It’s pretty and all but I sure don’t like shoveling it and all the trouble it can cause. On the other hand, there is a feeling of peace when you are snuggled into your cozy home when it is snowing outside - most traffic has stopped and the world seems to get quiet. It’s hard to explain and I guess it’s why I still live here despite the dang cold white stuff! LOL

beautiful!! Im so glad you had a white christmas!!

I didn’t like the shoveling or that my hubby had to work so hard but since he had some time off I really didn’t mind it so much this year and it really is beautiful. Now I KNOW you had a white one too cuz you had tons of the stuff! LOL

  17. Kami (321 comments.) on December 26th, 2007 5:01 pm

Oh wow, you have way more snow than us! Okay, okay that’s a lie but it’s about equal ;-)
Hope the storm subsided for the festivities.

Yeah, I’m sure this is nothing compared to what my Canadian friends are used to but we do tend to get quite a bit here in the Northeastern states. But yes, the storm did subside for the festivities and actually it was relatively warmer on Christmas Eve so some of it actually melted away! We still have plenty though so don’t feel the need to send any more our way!!! :)

Yay, a White Christmas!! Is that your house? It’s so beautiful!!! I hope you had a really lovely (and warm & cosy) Christmas, my friend!!

Yeup - that’s mine. Thanks - it’s such an old thing but it keeps us sheltered. I did have a lovely time and I hope you did as well!
