Okay, that there girl on the right?

SCARED the bejeezus out of me!
    ;-)
I don’t care for any mascot or clown… and they all terrify my kids. Even Santa.

LOL. Sorry, Kami - just my little meez dressing the part of a scary clown to go along with the post. Yes, Santa terrified me too when I was a kid. I knew I wasn’t alone on this. Thank goodness. ;)

you know, as a child I was not afraid of clowns. I even had a collection of clowns {for some reason} my parents started bringing us clown dolls from wherever they visited. I think be/c of that I’m not afraid of them. But they are always scary in movies, I wonder how that happened?

Oh, that is an interesting story, Heather, because my best friend growing up had a whole bunch of clown dolls too. She had all kinds of bozo dolls that you could pull the string and they would talk. Her sister had them too because their parents always got them each one and they always were lined up on the stairs of their house. I used to run by them really fast whenever I stayed over there and had to go up or down the stairs. I don’t know how they became such horror creatures in the movies but I was afraid of them before I had ever seen a horror movie. Eeep. I’m glad you are not afraid of them though. If I ever have to face one again, I’m calling you! ;)

LOL I love your clown girl Teeni!

Thanks, Hay! Honestly, THAT one doesn’t scare me - maybe she doesn’t have enough clown makeup to be scary? Or maybe because I put her together myself? Hmmmm. Well, as long as she stays in that little box on the screen, I’m okay with it. heh.

    hrm… clowns really don’t freak me out…

People dressed in bunny suits? Terrifying… even IF they’re my great-aunt.. Easter last year was… interesting… grandma has the pictures i’m sure… XD

I have to check those pictures out. Heh. Maybe I can blackmail you with them someday. **evil grin appears across her face as ideas start swirling in her little head**

Ugh, you hit the nail right on the head! Clowns are creepy!!

Yeah, they really are - creepy is a good word to describe them. **shivers**

OMG OMG OMG .. your Meez tried to jump at me! And she sceeered me! And I peed a little.

HA! My powers of making people spontaneously pee are still strong. All is good. Muhahaha!

    Oh, and I like clowns.

You do? Oh, Ms. Red, I always knew you were braver than me! ;)

it’s the makeup! the bad bad makeup and huge smiles, and clowns are always right up in your face. No human being looks like that for real…they’re terrifying.

I think you have a point, Diva! The total over-exaggeration of features with the makeup makes for a terrifying visual. It’s awful what we put kids through. ;)

  12. honeywine on January 18th, 2008 12:50 pm

Oh yeah. The whole concept is just freaky. Who wakes up and says “let’s OD on makeup and approach small children”????

Hi Honeywine! Welcome to the Vaguetarian Tea Room. I totally agree with you. I sometimes wonder how children ever trust their parents again with some of the things we put them through.

I think Stephen King made clowns really scary with “It”
You have some madd meez skillz woman.

LOL. I loved that book but yeah, it sure didn’t help with my fear of clowns at all. Yikes. Thanks for the compliment on my meez. It’s like paper dolls for adults. I’ve been having fun with it. LOL

  14. Calamity (121 comments.) on January 18th, 2008 7:01 pm

I hate clowns.. *shudders* I have had some major league nightmares from clowns..

Me too, Calamity. They are just so sinister-looking to me.

  15. Merri (67 comments.) on January 18th, 2008 8:50 pm

I was always terrified of clowns.
    NOT nice fellows.
Years ago I worked with an unsavoury fellow who revealed that in his own time, he dressed as a clown and went to children’s parties and hospital wards.
He wasn’t seen at work for a week or so which we all thought odd, and THEN I found out that he had been CHARGED with child abuse !!!!!
    creepy….

EEek! Yes, it seems the perfect job for a child abuser/molester. That just makes them even scarier to me!

  16. kaylee (476 comments.) on January 18th, 2008 9:24 pm

I am sorry but, Merri has just officially sealed the deal on my hatred of clowns….Dammit I just found out that I have to go to a party on SUNDAY that will have a clown at it.Is it wrong to tell your best friend that you can’t go to her party cause you hate clowns?

Wow. I would think your friend would be a little old to have a clown at her party. I don’t know Kaylee. Maybe if you go to the party dressed as one too then it will let you scare the other people instead of getting scared yourself. LOL. ;)

  17. kaylee (476 comments.) on January 18th, 2008 9:52 pm

Well, its actually her 5 year old brothers party and she just gave me the joy of running around and “playing” with her and about 12 five year olds hehe. LOL thats an idea there you are thinking on the right track now.

LOL. Okay but don’t scare the young ‘uns so much that they cry! Go easy on them so they don’t end up scarred for life. ;)

  18. kaylee (476 comments.) on January 18th, 2008 10:17 pm

    LOl I will :P

  19. clairec23 (1 comments.) on January 19th, 2008 5:47 am

Ugh….Ugh…Ugh! I *hate* clowns. I’ve always hated them yet for some reason various different people gave me little clown dolls and ornaments as presents. Because they were presents, they had to always be on display. I couldn’t even look in their direction - they are the most evil looking things in existence!

Hi Clairec23! Welcome to Vaguetarian Tea Room! And yes, I can totally sympathize. Clowns do look evil and they are so scary you definitely don’t want to “catch their eye” when walking by. Yikes!

  20. kaylee2 (133 comments.) on January 19th, 2008 10:18 pm

I am not going to that party cause I am sick….ate eggs and that made me very sick :(

  21. hrsj (13 comments.) on January 21st, 2008 12:50 am

Teeni- I’m chuckling at the thought of you running past your childhood friend’s clowns really fast!
Don’t worry, I’ve got your back. wink wink.

    I knew I could trust you! :D
