Amusing Search Terms

Posted on February 22, 2008 - Filed Under Search Terms

Here is another batch of funny search terms I collected. This time I weeded out a lot of the “naked” ones to see what we were left with. Still a pretty interesting bunch if I do say so. Take a look for yourself.

meme is tea good - Meme, yes it is!

vegetarian tea garden blog teeni - This person was desperately looking for me here.

meez sinister clown - Youz sure is!

peter griffin and cucumber toy - I suppose this one COULD be dirty - you all get your minds out of the gutter now!

baby diva lady carriage shower - These type of terms are why I’m guessing for a girl in the Diva’s pregnancy pool!

CARTOON CHARACTER I AM SO HAPPY - REAL PERSON I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!

Free Hillbilly grandpa .gifs - Sure, free Hillbilly grandpa .gifs. So long as he is not a danger to society!

gnome baby -Now there’s a funny image. A face only a mother (gnome) could love.

cute and all the way naked - I just have never heard this expression “all the way naked” so I had to chuckle.

buy more flowers better? - More flowers are ALWAYS better.

sweet sixteen cakes for boys - I have never seen one of these. Maybe sixteen year old boys just aren’t sweet?

real scary girl clowns - **shudders**

household tips to make your house smell - Why would anyone want their house to smell? I just want my house to be self-cleaning. That’s enough for me.

teeroom - Hey - even misspellings find themselves heere!

do squirrels get frostbite - I don’t know because of all the little squirrel doctors and their dang confidentiality laws.

how to do cool writing - See? They know where to go to find that out. LOL.

light up wedding dress - Had a hard time deciding whether this should fall under the pretty search terms or the funny ones. The funny ones won out in the end.

animated sloppy joes - Goodness - what would animated sloppy joes do if they could be animated? Run away so we couldn’t eat them, maybe?

circus flowers - C’mon - this idea is just funny. You know it is. I imagine circus flowers look like something out of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory!

medieval stuff - My blog is not THAT old. Sheesh.

swinging navigator of the swamp - How on earth did that get them here???!!

The squirrels are frostbitten from chasing sloppy joes in the snow…

    That might explain it! LOL

  5. witchypoo (81 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 1:01 am

These are so much fun, aren’t they? How’s the story game coming along? Did I ruin it right off the bat?

Of course you didn’t! I need to check on it though. Thanks for reminding me.

Update - it is moving along and has to go through two more people before it’s done! So almost there!

  6. Lumpy (24 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 3:18 am

I’m guessing an animated sloppy joe would start out ok, but then become just a bun as all of his sloppiness fell out while he was running from the jaws of death! That’s the picture that popped into my head, anyway :) Very wild terms. Have an excellent weekend Teeni!

LOL - That is a hilarious and awesome picture in your head, Lumpy! I love it! That’s why I think you’d be great at joining in on our creative writing assignments. ;) And you have a great weekend too!

    Oh wow, those are weird.

Most of the strange ones I get relate to “dog poo”. Lovely eh?

LOL. Oh yes, lovely. Maybe you should stop blogging about dog poo? LOL. Seriously, you just mention something one time off-handedly at your blog and the search terms come back to memorialize it forever whether you want them to or not! Sheesh. :)

“do squirrels get frostbite - I don’t know because of all the little squirrel doctors and their dang confidentiality laws.”

That one just cracked me up. I have stored data for one site that goes back several years. I’m often amazed at the terms that are plugged into a search engine.

Wow - you must have some gems if you have several years worth of data! You may have to do a post yourself soon! I always get a kick out of the blogger’s responses to them.

  9. Kami (273 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 11:21 am

Most of those baffle me as to how they would end up at your site - that’s the beauty of them…

Your squirrel comment is a gem - tee hee!

Thanks, Kami - I keep picturing little squirrel doctors and squirrel nurses now…with little squirrel stethoscopes. Heehee.

How do you find out these terms? Do people just tell you and you keep a running tally or is there some kind of widget I should get?

Hi Paige! You know - WordPress just tallies them up for you in the administration pages but I think the Diva can help you out in finding yours cuz she uses the same type of blog as you and she has posted these before!

  11. Fourleafclover (10 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 12:39 pm

I wish I could find out if I have search terms… when I check where people found me from it always says “unknown”

Hmmm - you should check with the Diva too - you and she and Paige all use the same type of blog. I’d love to see your search terms (that sounds kinda dirty - LOL).

I love reading the weird search terms. Makes you wonder sometimes who these weird freaks are that are typing in these search terms.

I am in the process of posting a few of mine. I have to weed out all the animal testing searches that people have used to find my blog.

Sheesh! You write 2 posts about how testing on animals is better than testing on people and you get people finding your site over a dozen times a day.

Oh, I can’t wait to read yours! Well, at least you are getting some traffic - some of it may be GOOD traffic! :)

  13. Hannah (319 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 4:06 pm

Gosh Teeni, it’s almost like you could just post about your search terms everyday and have good material! I don’t get anything half as funny (or weird) as these! :-)
LOL. Yeah, there are a lot of funny and weird terms that get here, that’s for sure. I guess that is good though - I like variety here at the tea room! :)

  14. talinan (21 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 4:43 pm

Mine are that weird yet, Loved reading yours- needed a laugh!

“swinging navigator of the swamp - How on earth did that get them here???!!” That one just brought some great images into my head!

Oh, I bet you have some great ones, Talina. You should post them sometime!

  15. ariell (57 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 8:37 pm

i think it is a tie between frostbitten squirrels and animated sloppy joes (sounds like an award?).

LOL. Thanks, Ariell. I’m glad you liked them. My eyes almost fell out when I saw them in my dashboard. ;)

  16. BitterSweet (15 comments.) on February 22nd, 2008 8:57 pm

Great search terms, these are always the best! I’m still saving up all my best ones to show off at some point, but it takes a long time to get any worthwhile. I think you must be getting all the good ones!

Hi Hannah! LOL - I just get an exorbitant amount of odd ones because of the variety of my posts I think. But I’d love to see yours - with all your little crochet buddies and stories I bet you have some interesting ones too! ;)

  17. Bobby Revell (29 comments.) on February 23rd, 2008 1:45 am

Hi Teeni! The last 41 times I googled “cucumber toy”…your blog didn’t pop up. However, your blog really turns me on now…hahaha:)

Hi Bobby! Welcome to the Vaguetarian Tea Room. LOL. I guess it should show up from now on, huh? ;) Gotta love the odd search terms.

Thanks, Kiinu! It’s great - I will try to get it in the shop tonight and will let you know when it is there so you can check it out!

  21. Merri (67 comments.) on February 23rd, 2008 9:57 pm

LOL! I am envious, because I never get search terms that are the least bit funny..
I loved those all, but yes, “swinging navigator of the swamp” really made me laugh..I mean, WHAT?
    LOL!

The really funny thing is I couldn’t navigate my way out of a paper bag. I have no sense of direction so they definitely found the wrong place! ;)

  22. romi41 (40 comments.) on February 25th, 2008 1:15 am
