Okay, this old blogosphere needs some shaking up. Things are just getting a little too blah lately. So, I think we are in need of some brainless fun which means it is time for another game!

This time, lets just list all the breakfast cereals we can think of. Hot or cold is fine. Anyone can join! Just be sure to include the manufacturer and the cereal name as some cereals have more than one manufacturer. Also, check the previous comments to avoid duplications. That’s it! Let’s go!

Bugs in Mud? Not sure why this sounded so appealing, but it got me searching. Apparently, the US copied you or vice versa and Kellog’s did a Mud and Bugs which was a Lion King cereal. Strangely enough it looks like both products are or are in process of being discontinued. The NZ one for being more than 50% sugar. Yummy.

It’s okay - I looked up the manufacturers for all of the missing ones so far but I don’t think I can keep that up if these keep flying in like this!

Gosh TGH … does our Bugs in Mud really have 50% sugar?! Cripes! No wonder they are discontinuing it!
I only ever bought it once. It was soooo chocolatey I felt like I was committing some awful sin by eating it for breakfast! And it made me feel sick … there is such a thing as too early in the day for chocolate. Amazingly.

Now, now. Chocolate is still good ANY time. It’s the SUGAR that was bad. LOL. I only allow myself the bittersweet chocolate for breakfast.

No problem, Hannah. It was kind of fun looking up some of these - there are a lot of sites that have old commercials for theirs cereals still. They are a hoot - oh, and I’m sure Youtube has a bunch of them as well.

Oh dear - I’ve been eating only fruit for breakfast - not had cereals for weeks - but I can feel such a craving for shredded wheat and I can see myself weakening and going to the store for a pack tomorrow…;-)

I sometimes like cereal for a snack at night too. See? It’s not just for breakfast anymore.

Okay sis, this was a good idea, however…I think you should put a slight twist on it and make it a cereal list of the knock-offs, as in grocery store generic brands because the names and cheaper versions of the “good stuff” are pretty damn funny….For instance, I was in the dollar store the other day and saw a cereal called ? “Muffin Tops” Who wouldn’t want a nice bowl of Blueberry Muffin Tops? Hee hee, well they are produced by the Malt-O-Meal company who also prides itself in making Frosted Mini Spooners, Coco Roos, Corn Bursts, Honey Buzzers, Marshmallow Mateys, Scooters and Tootie Fruities. Heck, lets go with a list of any generic product…It’s been a long time since I’ve brushed my teeth with Crescent! : )

Ha! Well, I don’t know if I’ll be doing cereal again but keep your ideas coming. I’m trying to think of other wacky things we did as kids.
