Mad Lib Game
Posted on May 17, 2008 - Filed Under Games, Just for Fun
Hopefully by now most of you have realized that I love games, so let’s play another one! This one is to celebrate the fact that I learned how to put a number next to each comment in this theme’s style sheet. Woo-hoo (yes, I’m easily amused)!
If each of you commentator tots would write a word that corresponds with the number of your comment as outlined below, then we could quickly fill out a form and I will post the resulting mad lib.
For example, the first person to comment on this post should provide the name of an animal in their comment. The second person to comment should provide an adjective, the third person should provide an adjective, and the fourth a noun, etc. Get it? Since you only have to provide one word, please be as creative as you can, but let’s still keep this a family-friendly site (PG-13 or so) okay?
Let’s see how this works out!
- animal
- adjective
- adjective
- noun
- plural noun
- verb
- plural noun
- verb
- adjective
- part of body
- part of body
- noun
- noun
Good to the last byte!

Okay, this sounds fun! Looks like I’m first, I hope I still am by the time I click “submit” LOL.
Animal: llama
Awesome! Hey - you’re always Number 1 in my book, Hannah!
What an INTRIGUING game!
Good one! I’m using it!
Adjective: divine
LOL. Heavenly! Thanks, VeggieGirl - I’m putting it in play.
Hmm, well, since I have one thing on my mind this weekend, I will go with a noun that is pending for me today - tree - as in “I have to plant that blasted tree today. LOL
LOL - well, hopefully you get that tree planted today, DL! I’ve actually got to plant my seedlings into the veggie garden today. Thanks for reminding me. I’m putting your word into the mad lib.
Found some in my son’s hair this morning -
headlice
Aww, RB - that stinks. Those little buggers are such a pain. I hope you can get that situation under control quickly. But it is a great addition to the mad lib so I’m using it!
How fun!! I love games!! Lets see, since I have been outside all day for the last few days, my verb is work LOL
Wow - good for you being outside so much! And that word definitely “works.” Thanks for playing and stay tuned!
I get plural nouns. I’m working on my Oasis today so I’ll go with “birdbaths”.
Thanks, Joan! Good one.
Ummmm what do I get Verb? : Sleeping or if you want a better one EATING!
I didn’t need the ING at the end so I just took “eat.” But that should be a good one!
Here is my adjective:
nostalgic
Awesome word, Talina! Thanks. Just need a few more now!
Do you have any idea whatsoever how tough it is for me to choose a part of the body that is PG-13?
Anyway I will choose: duodenum.
Ah, LOL! Evyl you came in for the toughest comment! But hey - duodenum sounds kinda dirty, huh?
I’ve always liked uvula too. LOL
Hey I came in at a good time!!!
BUT a part of the body?
HMMM..
Ok how about Iris?
Iris works fine! Thanks, Merri!
Noun: space
This works! Thanks, SB!
people in space
Um, I used the one above so this one won’t be used. Sorry. I still need a noun though!
So, being (maybe?) 14th, should I use a joiner?
“then”
LOL! Sorry - I’m just looking for one more noun!! Anyone?
ACK! I am lost, what does 15th do?
How about another verb?
skidaddle
Oooh - I love that word! But I just need one more noun to finish this mad lib off! A noun? Anyone?
Okay, I’m sixteen so I get to enter my own word, right? How about excalibur?
Annie
YAY!! That’s a noun, right? I’m using it! Thanks, Annie!
What’s wrong, Red?
