Skin Deep?
Posted on July 27, 2008 - Filed Under Guest Post
I am a guest host. I mean, I did a guest post! LOL. Forgive my blathering - I’m just so flattered and excited that Annie at Writer Chick Talks asked me to write a guest post for her!
I still have one more password protected post to put up but in the meantime, if you are interested, you can check out the post I did for Annie here.

When I click the link to go check out your guest post I get this:
Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.

Oops - sorry Peter. I may have put this up a bit early. Annie’s in a different time zone than me but according to my last comment, it must be up now. Try again? Please?
I GOT
will go over there
Wait no i didnt
It should be up now.
Same here. But I’m sure it ROCKS!
LOL. I think it’s up now if you want to check it out.
Great post, Teeni! I agree with you about inner beauty transcending the physical level. It’s also something that should be considered more valuable than it really is. I mean, what’s the point of looking beautiful if you’re a nasty cow? The media often puts celebrities on a pedestal simply because of their looks, but I would love to read more about the things that make them beautiful on the inside. Because like you’ve mentioned, I am sure many of them DO possess that inner beauty, but we necessarily see it.
(this is the same comment I left on WC’s site for you)
Thanks, Hannah! It’s definitely harder to know what celebrities are like underneath it all. It’s easier to try and find inner beauty in people who are more readily available to us. But that’s okay. We just can’t forget that and let the media brainwash us.
Super post.
And thank you so much for your honest comment on my blog. I totaly understand what you are saying. And i was not hurt at all. Hopefully by just raising awarness in even one person is a step in the right direction and as you say make life better for everyone.
I’m so glad you “got” what I was saying!
Hugs to you!
It was wonderful and thought provoking. True mostly I thought about those Simpson girls, but still! lol And you’re right about the BillyBob-style Angelina. Yuck!
LOL about the Simpson girls, but yeah, I can see why they would be in the forefront when we discuss beauty. Oh, yeah - Angelina has looked pretty yuck lots of times. But I’m glad she doesn’t seem to want to disgust people anymore.
Great post, and I left you a comment over there.
Thanks, little Birdie!
wow, now you are subbing your services out to other blogs? how do you find the time? i can barely keep up with my own
LOL. Yeah, funny thing. I always wondered what was going to happen when I ran out of stuff to say, but um, so far that hasn’t happened.
Hi Teeni,
I’m just popping in to say thank you for being such a beautiful special guest hoster poster. It’s been so nice to meet you and to connect to you through beauty. Is it okey if I take a look around.
I can sense and feel attractivness.
I loved your post and I loved all the comments and you replys to them.
I’m thinking that your another one of those really beautiful, fantastic special women arn’t you.
OMG !!
All this beauty. NO WAY do I want film stars.
Smiles & Beauty
Di
Hi Di! Of course you are welcome to poke around. I am certainly not beautiful, fantastic or special. I’m just on the journey of life like everyone else and I’m a work in progress (still a looooong way to go before I resemble anything artworthy). LOL. But thanks for all the smiles!
I’m back, it’s working and I left a comment over yonder.
Oh, and Aishwarya Rai, very pretty, but I’m not familiar with her.
Thanks for letting me know, Peter! I’m surprised you hadn’t heard of Aishwarya Rai before but hey - see? The Tea Room teaches you things without you even knowing it. LOL.
Brilliant post Teeni
Thanks, Hay!
Great job over yonder, darlin’.
Thank you so much, Evyl. I appreciate it.
