TNT Meme

Posted By Teeni on August 2, 2008

Yeup, it’s a meme about TGH and Teeni so it is T ‘n’ T, get it? Yeah, I know. Kinda lame. But hey, I get my kicks where I can and so should you. Anyway, the talented and newly motherly Diva (feel free to go visit her at her blog and congratulate her on the best creation she’s ever made) tagged me for this meme. It’s another one that looks like fun so here’s my take on it.

1. What is his name? It’s TGH (Techno-Geek Husband) for all intents and purposes on this here blog.

2. Who eats more? He does, but not much. I eat a LOT for my size (which could explain why my size keeps growing sideways).

3. Who said, “I love you” first? Neither one of us remembers

4. Who is taller? TGH is. Way taller.

5. I traced this one back as far as I could and couldn’t find the question that SHOULD be here. WTH happened to number 5? Is this one of those seven ate nine jokes or something? LOL. I’ll make up my own then. - Who drives most when you are out together? He does. I like critiquing him from the passenger seat. And I definitely need one of these steering wheels.

And now back to our regularly schedule meme, already in progress.

6. Who is more sensitive? I think I am more openly sensitive but I believe TGH is also a sensitive soul.

7. Who does the laundry? I do the laundry, both of ours. I found it funny to hear some couples did theirs separately. But I’m home while he works so he makes the money and I keep the clothes clean.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are at the foot of the bed looking to the headboard, then I sleep on the right side. It is closer to the wall and I almost made him switch with me when I was going through treatment because I would have to get up in the middle of the night, in the dark, and find my way around the bed to the bathroom a couple times each night. But I suffered through and still sleep on that side.

9. Who pays the bills? I used to do it all, except for a couple he paid online. Now he pays them all because my mind doesn’t work so well at that stuff anymore.

10. Who cooks more? Me, me, me!

11. Who is more stubborn? Me, me, me!

12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Me, me, no, wait. NOT me. But it probably usually IS me who is wrong more often. Shut UP. I hate being wrong as much as the next guy.

13. Who has more siblings? Him, him, him! He has one more than I do.

14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? He does for most things but there are some things that I am the queen of.

15. What do you like to do together? Play board games and video games, hike, walk, bike ride and you know, bedroom stuff. ;)

16. Who eats more sweets? Hmm. I eat more baked goods, he eats more candy.

17. Guilty Pleasures? We enjoy pleasure and we have no guilt about it, whatsoever. ;)

18. How did you meet? At work.

19. Who asked whom out first? We were great friends first, and it just kind of evolved.

20. Who kissed who first? It was mutual. We banged teeth. Very romantic. LOL.

21. Who proposed? He did and it was very romantic.

22. His best features and qualities? His ability to let me know when I’m being a jerk/biotch without making me feel like one, and his ability to make me laugh when I’m angry or upset. Also he is super intelligent, handy, talented, genuinely nice, polite, intuitive, and a good friend. Plus he’s cute and has nice legs. ;)

23. Tag some peeps. I tag the following people to do this meme:

Man, that was quick! You go, Spidey! :) **flies out the door, catching her heel on the threshhold in her haste to get to Peter Parkour’s blog**

  4. Kami (350 comments.) says:

That was fun! I like to learn more about couples, you sound perfect for each other and there really is nothing better :-)

We just got home from a trip so I’ll try to do this one up really soon!

Take your time! No pressure! Whenever you can get around to it, I’d love to read it. :)

Ok, I’m back. I sometimes read or share blogs with Bunny and she’s asked me who or what TGH was. I always figured it was your husband, but now we know more specifically. I liked your video, very funny. I also liked the question you came up with for #5. It was right up our alley. It’s nice to know you two are enjoying yourselves guilt free. Nice. ;)

I feel honored that Bunny was interested enough in my blog to ask who or what a TGH was. LOL. I did used to have a tab at the top of my page to explain my aliases but when I changed memes, I had too many tabs so it is now actually part of my Miscellaneous tab where you can probably find more junk about me and this blog if you ever care to. And Bunny is always welcome here. :)

I really enjoyed this meme Teeni. So romantic.

We love each other and sometimes it’s romantic, that’s true. But not always. LOL. See numbers 3, 5, and 20. ;)

I like this meme a lot. It is so interesting to learn about you and TGH. I’ve heard you call him that but it’s funny to know now what it stands for. Your relationship sounds so sweet. I love how you sit in the passenger seat and “chime in” while he’s driving- priceless! Ha! Ha! Ha! LOL!!! .. and him having the ability to make you laugh when you are angry/upset is the key baby. My hubster does the same thing. Life is short, so why spend it angry? When the hub and I were first together, I would get super mad and think {{I’m going to be mad for DAYS over this one…}} and he would come into the room where I was just beside myself angry and have me laughing. How can you be mad at someone who has you in stitches? I remember thinking, … {{this is nice…}} and it was a whole new ball game for me. You two sound like a lovely couple! Oh, thanks for the tag. I’ll get right down to business.

I love your comments, JavaQueen! And it sounds like we each got one of the good ones, no? ;)

OOOH - how I love memes…. guilty pleasure? Maybe.

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to the Vaguetarian Tea Room. Feel free to steal the meme and complete it for yourself. I’d appreciate a link back if you do so I can ready your answers! :) I just visited your site and it looks like a great place. Hope to see more of you!

I like this meme and liked reading your answers! I may steal it from Javaqueen since she offered it up without tags. ;)

Steal it from whomever you like. I always invite the stealing. But I also do tags because I think it provides a little extra impetus for people to complete it. And, more importantly, although I often see no tagging being done, I think if everyone did that then I never would have met some of the people I’ve met through memes! :) I’d like to see your answers too!

This was a great read! Thanks for tagging me, I would love to do this one … may not be today, but I will do it sometime this week ;-)

I just read yours and LOVED it! :) Thanks for playing, Hannah. This was a great meme. :)

well done!! “You know, bedroom stuff” made me laugh out loud for reals. not just internetty LOLing, but actually laughing out loud.

And aren’t first kisses awesome!! ;)

Heehee. I’m glad I could give you a laugh. I was trying to think of a nice way to put it (his mom could be reading this blog, you know)! Anyway, in my technical way, I ended up just deciding to call it bedroom stuff. ;)

  14. Romi (95 comments.) says:

    Hahaha, I loved your #17 :-)

I’m gonna put these meme on the shelf until I have a significant other (LOL), and when I do, I’m gonna rock your world with the all-exposing meme ;-)

This really IS a good one and people would flock for miles to read your answers, Romi. You keep us riveted. :)

  15. Leaf, probably... (30 comments.) says:

Hehe, you guys sound like fun… And: mmm baked goods. I could go for some baked goods.

My significant other is in the dog box, and will be for a significant amount of time. Unfortunately I’m not allowed to take it out on him in my blog, so I can’t do this meme. :(

Oh well… It would have been fun to do some passive aggressive whining.

Oops. Sorry about the significant other being in the dog box. :( Well, hang onto the meme - maybe you’ll be able to do it in the near future if you like. LOL@ passive aggressive whining. There should be a class for that. I’m sure we could all stand to get some of that out. ;)

No SO for me, but I have some thoughts on memes. I hear people calling them me-mes, but my take is from the french meaning same (a la meme choise), so I pronounce them the French way.

I think I’ve been pronouncing it wrong for a long time. I keep saying it like “meem,” rhyming it with the word “theme.” I thought that sounded more technical and less cutesy so I figured that was how it was pronounced. But I’ve since found that most everyone else (except you, LOL) have been pronouncing it “me-me” as in the opposite of “you-you.” :) Maybe I should do a poll on this sometime.

  17. Evyl (120 comments.) says:

Could you be a bit more specific. Bedroom stuff covers a very wide area to me. ;)

It does for US too! LOL. I know you can use your imagination though. ;)

  18. CuriousC (66 comments.) says:

Everytime I would see TGH, I always assumed it was ‘The Good Husband.’ I enjoyed this! and I love the video clip. LOL

Oh, sometimes he IS The Good Husband, I guess. LOL. I never thought of that. But I originally dubbed him my Techno-Geek Husband. So depending on the post (or whether or not I’m angry with him), we could use either definition. ;) I have loved that video from the first time I saw it many months ago, and it STILL cracks me up. The look on that woman’s face is priceless.

  19. Slyde (128 comments.) says:

cool! i’ll try to do this one today..

No pressure, but I would love to see your responses. :)

  20. Paige Stanton (100 comments.) says:

Holy man I LOVE this meme! First of all, you banged teeth? Coffee came out of my nose on that one! I think that’s so sweet, you met at work and were friends before you “hooked up”. That’s exactly how JRK and I met! In reading all these meme’s I was suprised how many people met at work. Oh and I love that video with the two old people driving, I lost it when she throws the steering wheel out the window!

This one is a great meme. Go ahead and steal it! And yeah, that driving lady still cracks me up every time. She is my new hero right up there with that Maxine lady from the Hallmark cards.
