New Gift Shop Items

Posted on October 2, 2008 - Filed Under Gift Shop, barefoot sandals

I will be adding these two items to the Tea Room Gift Shop and I have another one to add soon.

Item SG-4:  Barefoot sandals in a gold tone color.  These are made the same way as the silver tone sandals.  They are hand crocheted with gold tone elastic thread and  gold tone metal.  The gold tone is a brassy tone, not a true precious metal gold tone.  This is simply because a brassy gold tone is the only one available in the elastic thread.  However, the good news is that the brassier tone looks nicer on tanned skin.  These would be great for casual beachwear, a beach wedding, or as part of a belly dancing costume.  $20 a pair - includes shipping to just about anywhere.

And I forgot to mention that my barefoot slippers can comfortably and easily be worn with flip flops and most sandals!  You can throw your flip flops or sandals on quickly when you do need a sole!  ;)

Item SSH-4:  Similar to the barefoot sandals, but made with smaller diamond shapes so that the bracelet can flex with the movement of the hand.  Much snazzier than a henna tattoo and easily removed.  Makes a great biker bracelet, it’s a definite eye-catcher.  Sold separately.  Wear one or wear a pair! $10 each - includes shipping to just about anywhere.

Yes, that’s my short stubby foot with a really rushed pedicure job, and that’s my chubby hand which I should have bothered to manicure first.  I’ll probably update the hand one sometime in the future.

    Who? Me? :-)
Well, you could wear them yourself but they may look prettier on your wife! LOL

Pretty! I can’t wait to wear my barefoot sandals when we hit this beach this winter!

And your “models” are smashing Teeni!

Thanks, Kami - you are sweet. :)

I really like the sandals, I’ve never seen anything like it.

Feel free to check out my gift shop tab and you can see the silver ones there too! :) Glad you like them!

Ooh, I love those gold sandals!! The rings instead of diamonds are a neat look.

I’m VERY excited about wearing my silver sandals when we head to Fiji!

I am glad you like them. I wish I had made some up at the same time as the silver ones but at first I wasn’t sure about the brassy gold color. I made a sample pair and a couple of people really liked them so I figured I’d offer them through the gift shop. :)

I just love those, Teeni! I have seen ones made from just beads but yours are much prettier. I bet you get a lot of sales!

I have made a few sales, but I can always use more. :)

Oh nummy, I feel the need to treat myself….now I need to decide silver or gold, hand or foot. Decisions, decisions…arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

If you have lighter skin, the silver is the safer bet as the gold may be too brassy for you and for any gold jewelry you have. However, if you are darker skinned or if you tan well, then the gold may just glow on you. :)

Why don’t the big retailers make more slave bracelets??? They are so freakin’ cool! And I’m still loving that polish. I need to get some!

I think lots of places make them and have them but they probably aren’t affordable or comfortable. I make mine with elastic thread for the best fit no matter what. ;) I’ll have to find out what that brand and color of nail polish was.

I want some but then do i know where my mones going? ;)

I’m not sure what you are asking but I’ll be totally honest - the money would be going to ME! It would pay for the supplies of making the barefoot sandals and the shipping. What is leftover from that really isn’t much but it will help me pay for my hosting fees for this blog and will be used for some of the prizes I will give away in contests.

Lovely bracelet cum ring, and pretty sandals indeed!

    Thanks, Sheng!

Yeah I want to know where the money is going too?

Is it going to support the Wall Street Wizards? Maybe if you crocheted every day until your fingers bled and then gave every single bit of profit back to help these poor CEO’s get back on their feet… Maybe then we would all be better and America would not be doomed. Are you doing this to bailout the government- because then I will take like a dozen even though I can’t wear them on grotesquely webbed feet. You must promise though that all proceeds go to save big business.

PS those are really cute. But we do not go barefoot much in Wisconsin, from now until the first of July.

LOL. The money is going straight into MY pockets. I need it to buy more supplies, cat treats for my kids, and peanut M&Ms for me. At least I’m honest. :) Sorry, big business can kiss my hot tea pot’s spout for all I care. They’re not getting any of the profits. I remember all the times they helped me when I could have used it. Anyway, I personally think everything just has to fall down before it gets rebuilt. No sense building on a broken foundation.

I need to work on a pattern for webbed feet. ;) Warm ones that can be worn all year round. LOL.

So pretty Teens. So girly, gotta love that! And, hey,…. no pickn’ on my friend Teeni! Her hand and foot are perfectly beautiful… that’s enough of that!

Thanks, JQ! Okay, no more picking on myself. I’ll be good. ;)

Those are cute. What a fun idea!

Thanks! They really are fun to wear. I wear mine so much that I’ve worn the metallic color off the elastic. LOL. But I’ve had them for years now so maybe I need to make myself a new pair!

Once again, very cute and crafty. May I suggest you take it easy on your foot and hand models? Good help is hard to find. ;)

    Awww, thanks Peter! :)
