Remember What?

 danbug

In my ever increasing desire to display my humanity, I just keep topping myself.  Most recently, I had an Avatar War in which I requested help from my blog buddies and was thoroughly excited to actually have people respond and participate to defend my Meez’s honor (the little hussy - yeah, you in box on the upper right).  ;)

The very first person who responded to the challenge, a very good blogging friend, emailed me this gem displaying Dan’s avatar as the annoying little bugger he really is (complete with cigar and reminiscent of a certain W.C. Fields).  But it was days before I received any other submissions and I totally forgot all about this entry.  I still can’t believe it.  I hope my friend knows that it is not a reflection of how I feel about her but more an example of my physical failings.  My memory has been mush for some time now due to chemo and Hashimoto’s disease but my friend, being the sweetheart that she is,  didn’t make a peep when I did the roundup and voting poll.  The worst thing for me was finding out that she just figured that I didn’t think her entry was good enough for the contest!!!!  But au contraire!  This was actually my personal favorite!  There is something about the antennae and huge nose that really creeped me out!  I love it!  :)

I truly feel horrible about this because this entry deserved to be in the running and she deserved to be part of the participation prize drawing.  She’s probably already mad at me for doing this post and mentioning it at all now, but there is no reason for her to be embarrassed as the bad is all mine and I readily own it.  She’s just the victim here.   But because this entry was my personal favorite anyway, I think I will remedy the situation by making her the first recipient of the next item that will be going into the gift shop.  This is kind of exciting for me because I think this is actually the perfect thing for her (and she really can’t refuse because I was going to send her one instead of a card this year anyway so she will just be getting it earlier than normal)!  Stay tuned if you would like to see what she wins.  I’ll be posting it in a few days.     :)

And please, please, PLEASE don’t ever hesitate to call me on something like this, anyone, because I am well aware that I have an awful memory and I appreciate all the help I can get.  It does seem to be at it’s worse when it comes to people sending me files, so I may have to have some better guides in place in the future for contests.  This type of post is humiliating for me (I don’t like screwing up like that and I am sure it’s not the first time I’ve done it) but I’d feel worse if I didn’t acknowledge my problem.  Seriously.  I hate my memory especially when it makes nice people think bad things that aren’t true.  So feel free to help me out, guys, okay?  Thanks a bunch!

I can’t believe how creepy that is!

LOL. Yeah, it really did justice to Dan’s avatar I thought. ;)

Ahhh. Don’t beat yourself up for it. I would have still won anyway. :P

OMG! Did I just say that out loud??!!

LOL. Yes, you probably would have! You were the fan favorite! ;)

Don’t feel bad. We all make mistakes! ALL of us! And if she is humble enough not to bring it up, she is one cool person :)

She IS one of the coolest people on the blogosphere! :) Thanks, K!

I was going to say something here but I forgot. I honestly forget stuff all the time too. My thoughts are like dust bunnies in a windy house.

Heh. Thanks, O. I think that’s how mine are too. :)

Second Life is a place I dare not visit for I can see it taking the place of real life (somewhere I have more than enough trouble keeping up with!)

But I’ll try and be supportive in real life Teeni!

    Or should that be IRL?

    :-)

Thanks, Laura! I appreciate the support. You are right - it is hard to keep up with. ;)

You are perfectly you. :) That is a cute pic. Accidents happen. Don’t sweat it. ;)

Thanks Peter. That was sweet. And I know you are right, accidents do just happen. It’s just annoying when they happen to the nicest people.

Aw Teens, don’t worry about it. We all forget stuff - I do all the time. Or what’s worse is I think I’ve done something I’ve been thinking about only to discover I didn’t do it at all. Now that’s troublesome. ;) We all love you, no worries.

You know how to make a girl feel better, Annie. Thanks so much. :)

Hello. http://www.vtroom.com - is very good forum. I think I’ll be here.

Hello. Thanks, but I think you WON’T.

It’s a good thing I didn’t submit anything. It might have been forgotten.

Just kidding! It was very gracious of you to write about forgetting and is a good blogging example for the rest of us. ;)

Aw, thanks Mike! You somehow turned it around into a good thing. :) Hugs to you!

Definitely agree - don’t feel bad. Everybody makes mistakes, and it just makes you more loveable in my opinion! Proves you’re “real” and genuine, ya know? We still love you!! xox

I am truly blessed. Thanks for such a wonderful comment and your support, Hannah. I really was fortunate to have found some great people on the blogosphere, who accept me and all my warts, as I am. :) I love you right back! xoxo

Awww, I like that picture. :)

I can understand you being upset, Teeni. But don’t beat yourself up over it. I get so caught up in doing 10 things at once, I forget about stuff all the time.

I didn’t know you were still having treatment either, with thyroid issues on top of it! Goodness, I’m sorry to hear that. :( (hugs)

It really does have an impact on memory, so you really do have an legit reason.

    Take care.

Ooops - I gave the wrong impression. I’m not still having chemo, but I still have the aftereffects (bad memory and foggy brain sometimes). Actually, from what I’ve been learning, the bad memory could be mainly due more to the Hashimoto’s disease, which explains why it was bad even before the cancer diagnosis and chemo. Sorry for the misunderstanding. And thanks so much for your kind words. I’ll stop beating myself up now that I’ve addressed the situation and owned up to it. Time to start moving on. Thanks for the hugs. Good timing! :)

Wow, I have been slacking on commenting here huh? Sorry hun. Oh and no worries about the memory, we all have our brain dead moments!

LOL. I’ve missed you. Thanks for the kinds words, Talina. And for anyone who doesn’t have many brain dead moments, I may have some that belong to you! ;)

Marlie Moore and Morgan Dayne perform some amazing erotic twisted positions and balancing acts on a stairwell banister as they get crazy with their lovemaking in public!

Teeni performs some fancy fingerwork and loves making fun of your crazy twisted comment in public. ;)

That badge is rockn’ it! She did an amazing job- love the big nose- LOL!

Never apologize for having a bad memory (to me, anyway) - I am the poster child for bad memory! I HATE my bad memory. That’s why I blog. So, I can look back at stuff.

Love ya! You are awesome! Love this post, it’s sweet and thoughtful and shows just how much you care about your friends!

Aww, thanks so much JQ. Hope you know I love ya right back. One great thing about blogging is when you screw up, you do get lots of support. You guys always make me feel so much better! Hugs!

Oh, teeni, we all forget stuff and most of us don’t even have an excuse. I blame mine on self-diagnosed ADD. :-)

Well, it’s nice to know I’m not alone. Thanks for that DragonLady! I dream of the day when I might walk into a Lost and Found and they will have my memory there waiting for me! LOL.

I can barely respond to my comments these days, just because life is grabbing my attention. I don’t have an illness that screwed it up in the first place.

Sorry, Witchypoo! I at least can try and blame my bad memory on that. I know you’ve been super-busy lately with life in general and I am wishing for good things to come your way. :) I hope things settle for you soon.
