Four Meme?

Posted By Teeni on October 4, 2008

Well, it must be MJ’s week here at the Tea Room. Not only did she win a prize for participating in my avatar war, she also tagged me for a meme last week and I’m finally getting to it this week. I’m late but it still counts I say! So without further ado, the meme (I actually wrote this a couple of days ago but postponed it).

4 things I did today:

Made a Swiss Apple Pie.
Looked up classes I may want to take.
Made a yummy frittata for dinner.
Called my niece.

4 things on my to do list:

De-clutter my house.
Change my awful sleep patterns.
Get into a more productive daytime routine.
Try not to kill anyone. This was MJ’s and I need that one too.

4 of my guiltiest pleasures:

French fries
Cheesecake
Staying up too late/oversleeping in the morning
Peanut M&Ms

4 random facts about me:

I feel guilty about not spending enough time playing with my cats - they need it because they don’t get along and won’t play with each other.
I almost always feel like I am supposed to be somewhere else. Then when I go there, I feel I should be back where I was. Weird, I know, but it’s just a feeling (I hope).
I want to make millions, so I can afford that warm fuzzy feeling. Okay this was MJ’s too but I changed it a bit. Her original was this: I want to make millions, so I can give it away and get that warm, fuzzy feeling. ;)

I will tag these four people and anyone else is welcome to take the tag and run with it so long as I get a link out of it:   ;)

Red at Dr. Pepper is Good 4 the Soul

Hannah at Blair’s Boys

Peter at Hate & Anger

Odette at Little Ms. Firefly

I hope you all can participate - it was really not a very difficult or time-consuming meme.  :)

I think I should move in with you - you make all that yummy food and you sound so lovely. Plus I bet it’s warmer where you live than it is here - and you have a cute cat. I think you have a husband too but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.

LOL. You are so sweet RB! I’d definitely cook for you but I don’t know about the temperature. You may not like it. Tonight it will be getting down to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m certainly not ready for it! My cat Toast Ed Oats is really cute and so is my female, Jam Berry (pronounced Jamboree) and even TGH is cute in my eyes. ;)

I think that it would take a lot of money for me to get that warm fuzzy feeling.

I hear ya, Evyl. Lots and lots! Especially in this economy. ;)

I accept your tag, but I’m not sure I can live up to the standard you have set. Wish me luck, and save me a slice of pie. ;)

Oh, I know you will do a fantastic Spidey job! :) Always!!! :)

I feel guilty for leaving my cat home alone all day. My poor baby :(

I’ve been wanting to try to make an apple pie! Any secrets or tips?

Nope - no secrets. But I have a recipe for a Swiss Apple Pie here if you are interested. ;)

Oooh, I’m accepting your tag! I have been thinking I needed a tag because my mind is EMPTY and I have nothing to blog about! So thanks :-)

I enjoyed reading your answers. And I agree with Reluctant Blogger about wanting to move in and eat all that yummy food - you domestic queen, you!

Awesome - I look forward to seeing your answers! And I’ve got a spare room if you and Reluctant Blogger don’t mind sharing. LOL.

Pie? I have pie. Excuse me a minute.

LOL. Fall starts the comfort food season for me. Oh wait no it doesn’t. Every season is comfort food season! ;)

Mmmm, now I’m feeling the need to make some comfort food. My daughter came home from school last week and said, “October is National Cookie Month, I think you need to make some cookies.” Ha. I thought it was just a ploy to get me to bake but it turns out it’s true!

And frittata = YUM! We have that for dinner all the time. Fun meme, Teeni. I saw it over at Mr. Parkour’s place as well. I may need to borrow it for a rainy day.

LOL. I do mention food quite a bit in this one. I wonder if I was hungry when I did it. OOoh - I didn’t know it was National Cookie Month! I do have some chocolate chips in the house. Hmmm.

Oh, frittatas - I haven’t had many of them but I’m thinking they may be showing their faces around my house a lot more now. What a great way to use up any bits of leftover foods from the week and such an easy and delicious thing to make. Yum!

Well NOW I’m hungry! Geezzz! LOL I like this meme.

Yeah, I’m just now noticing how much FOOD is mentioned in my meme. I don’t know if I should be concerned about that. ;)

Hello, just joined the forum and to not be ghost user with no posts will post some USELESS joke :)
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Smoking in the Rain

Two old ladies were waiting for a bus and one of them was smoking a cigarette. It started to rain, so the old lady reached into her purse, took out a condom, cut off the tip and slipped it over her cigarette and continued to smoke.
Her friend saw this and said, “Hey that’s a good idea! But, what is that thing you put over your cigarette?”
The other old lady said, “It’s a condom.”
“A condom? Where do you get those?”
The lady with the cigarette told her friend that you could purchase condoms at the pharmacy. When the two old ladies arrived downtown, the old lady with all the questions went into the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist if he sold condoms. The pharmacist said yes, but looked a little surprised that this old woman was interested in condoms, so he asked her, “What size do you want?”
The old lady thought for a minute and said, “One that will fit a Camel.”

    poor,poor Camel :) :)

This really cracked me up. This spam comment came in after I’d seen this same joke used in an email but the funny thing is that the spammer changed the punchline and now it isn’t even funny. So in a way, that IS funny! They then had a link saying “P.S. - do not click here.” So I didn’t. And I didn’t copy it here so you wouldn’t either! ;)

Why did you have to mention cheesecake? Whenever I hear that word or see a picture, I must go buy one! I may shoot someone for a slice right now LOL!!!

LOL. Sorry! I’m definitely thinking of food just a little too much these days! ;)

You know, I bet you could rig this to be gluten free with the right flours.

Teeni, sometimes I feel the same about my kids as you do about your cats! I should spend more time with each of them because they don’t get along with each other ;-) But thankfully as they are getting older they seem to get along better.

Maybe there is hope for your cats too?

    :-)

LOL. I wish I could get my cats to understand that I love them both equally. Differently, but equally. They just don’t get it. I always have hope, though, Kami! There’s always that. :)

And on a serious note - I do hope your boys will realize how special they are to each other. It’s probably a phase and age thing right now though.

Okay Peanut M&M’s are the best and I don’t play with my cat enough either! :-( …wow we have so much in common!

PS: I’m not sure what the difference is between regular apple pie and swiss apple pie, but it sounds intriguing and amazing!! :-)

Sent you my link to the recipe! Hope you get to try it sometime. It’s so easy and so yummy! :)

Thank, JQ. That buy eyed smiley is one of my faves. And I think I actually do make the expression when I’m typing. LOL.
