6 Photo Meme
Posted By Teeni on December 12, 2008
My most favorite scrap-bookingest blog buddy friend, Hannah, tagged me to do the following meme.
I had to find the 6th photo on the 6th page of a) my computer and b) my photo hosting/sharing site. I have to thank Hannah for this because it made me look through some photos I hadn’t seen in a while. This is actually kind of embarrassing but funny too. It just HAD to be this one.
Well, the one on the left is the one the satisifes the meme for the a) part. But while I was in that folder I noticed a more recent (but still old), similar posed pic so I had to include that. As you can see in the first photo, I have an awesome taste in sneakers. As a matter of fact, I think those ones are ones that came with detachable roller skates. Yes, I was very cool. And hey, half of my chest looks like the one in that picture again too.
On the right hand side, you can pretty much tell that I still have a great taste in footwear (even though you can’t see my shoes) as indicated by the phenomenal taste in headwear. And if only I had been about two feet taller, I know I could have been a model with those killer poses. Both of these pictures had been scanned in to the computer and used in a slideshow at TGH’s and my wedding.

Now, for the b) part of the meme, I have this - the death of a good friend:
I actually had meant to post about this before but never got around to it - it’s my old Kitchenaid stand mixer. I have all kinds of attachments for it that we got as wedding presents or bought through the years. So it was really upsetting to me when this happened. Apparently, there is some self-contained thing inside that big head that can crack, leaking grease and oil into the motor, and unfortunately, into anything you are mixing if you don’t notice it. Fortunately I noticed it and TGH looked it up on the internet to see what happened. Because of it’s age we didn’t want to risk repairing it so we ended up with a new, black model. So far, that one has performed wonderfully and we are able to use all the attachments again, which I love. I’m such a gadget person.
Next, you are supposed to tag six people. I tag the following six (and open it up for anyone else to steal if they think they would enjoy doing this meme):
GingerMagnolia at Names Have Been Changed
As always, no pressure. I’d love it if you can play along. If not, then this is just a free link for you! ;) Happy Holidays.

Oh teeni, sure i’d do this tag. Thanks for sharing this with me.
I’m glad you will join in, Sheng!
You are such a great poser! hahahah. Oh, and I send sympathy in the death of your Kitchenaid. I want one so bad, but I don’t know where I would put it in my little trailer. Oh, by the way, was that a pop-up camper in that photo on the right?
Hi Karen! Yes, that was a pop-up camper. It belonged to the parents of my best friend in high school. They took me with them on a couple of trips. I loved it! Maybe that’s why I’m still so interested in trailers and RVs. And yeah, those Kitchenaids do take up some room - plus they weigh a ton!
Look at that girl with the Daisy Dukes on.
Very cute. Are you still a hat lover? Or did you trade in the hates for kitchen gadgets?
I’ll see what I can do with this meme in the near future.
I still love hats but I hardly wear them anymore. Once I have one on for the day, I have to keep it on because of severe hat head syndrome (my fine hair gets all flattened into hat shape). I still have quite a few hats though and got more during chemo. I should give some away that were never worn.
Teeni, I love the pics of you, ya little poser! How cute!
I’m glad you got a new kitcheaid mixer- they are so handy
I love this post!
Thanks! I was almost in tears about the mixer. I really use mine a lot. TGH saved the day though by justifying us buying a new one since we do use it a lot. Gotta love my man!
Strike a pose!
LOL. That must be my signature pos - I just found another one hat is very similar. My modelling career would have been based on one pose! ROFL.
Fun photo meme!!
**Saw your comment on my blog = I really don’t notice that huge of a different with the GF flour. You just need to monitor the baking time a little more closely than you would with “regular” flour.
Thank you, VeggieGirl! I appreciate your answers about the GF flour. That is good to know since there are lots of allergies in my family too.
I’m glad to know I wasn’t the only girl who thought she was a supermodel when she was a kid! I’ll probably do this meme later on this afternoon.
By the way, completely jealous of your new stand mixer!
Thanks for participating, Ginger! And yeah, I can’t go back to using a regular one now.
Could you BE any cuter? I think not.
Thanks, Witchypoo!
Hey Teens,
Have to say I love those photos - and for sure you could have been a little model in Seventeen Mag or something - you had the moves girlie.
As to your poor mixture - cripes looks like it had an annuerism or something.
Annie
LOL. Thanks about the pics. And you know, seeing the poor mixer all open like that, it kind of reminded me of the movie “Alien.” The thing has a huge head. LOL.
Your so cute and the pose was awesome. Your a stuuner ei…
…oh my what happen with the KA, looks like he had a car accident…poor thing.
Aw, thanks Jeanny! LOL. It does look like he had a car accident! It was sad when it happened but I’m happy again with my new one!
Oh my God. I was smiling away at the adorable poses you struck(right usage?), and then I saw that HORRIFYING KitchenAid photo! Ugh! I have one exactly like it so it was just so shocking for me to see it all cut open and dead on an operating table like that! UGH. UGH! My eyes are bleeding…
Well, maybe I could have been a hat model. LOL. And yeah, so that’s what an alien, I mean Kitchenaid autopsy looks like, in case anyone wondered.
R.I.P. KitchenAid mixer.
I happen to have one of my own and would be devastated if that happened!
I know! It’s rough not having one after you’ve had one, isn’t it?
Vogue…strike a pose..
Very cute photo’s, Teeni. You missed your calling!
Oh…that poor mixer! Glad you got a new one.
Thanks, BD! Me too! I would have been at a loss without my mixer. Plus I wouldn’t have a way to use all the attachments. I’ve really love the ones I have for shredding and making pasta.
*love* the cutesy little girl photos!
gorgeous.
soz about your kitchen mixer -
it looks rather retro actually.
mwah X
Thanks about the photos, Katie! You know, those mixers really do look retro. Even the newest Kitchenaid models do!
An interesting meme and a great pose.
RIP dear mixer!
Thank you, Casdok. It was sad to see him go.
I will have to keep that in mind if I ever get a KitchenAid mixer! I’ve had my eye on one.
I posted mine late last night
They really are wonderful machines and I don’t think this happens often but you know, I was just lucky that way.
Figures.
I thought I commented on this one but must have forgotten. Weren’t you just the cutest thing?! I love those pics. Glad you got a new mixer too. That decapitated one is straight out of a Kitchenaid horror flick! Also, I think it’s fitting that you chose a black model to start off a new era of mixing!
LOL @ horror flick. Yes, the black one is very sharp looking and I don’t mind leaving it out on my counter since I use it so often.
Those pictures are great. Me, I am just jealous of your flat abdomen….what I wouldn’t give to look like that again
I have been lusting after a kitchenaid mixer like that for years but we have no where to store the mammoth! Someday!
I’m jealous of that flat abdomen too. I haven’t seen that for some time now! LOL. I hear you Kami. They are great machines, but they are big and also very heavy. I think the best thing is having a place out in the open on the counter. That way it’s always in easy reach and more convenient to use so you can get your money’s worth out of it. So yeah, counter space is key. Before TGH and I did our kitchen over, there was only about five feet of counter space and no way I could have done it then.
I was waiting for a current pic with that same pose.
[...] Leaf, probably… Because leaf is the perfect name for everything, probably… « Henna: a photo essay! Photo Meme! 15 December, 2008 Teeni from the Vaguterian Tearoom has just tagged me for a photo meme! [...]
How do you find the 6th photo on the 6th page of your computer???
I think it is the 6th photo on the 6th photo folder on your computer. But I just copied and pasted the rules so I’m thinking something got lost along the way somewhere in the life of this meme. Kinda like the game of Telephone. LOL
Oh my gosh you are so freakin’ cute, I loved your fashion sense! (my fave was that pale pink jacket
)
Thanks, Romi! You know I don’t think I ever owned very many pink articles of clothing so that jacket was probably my fashion risk piece. LOL. I couldn’t even type that with a straight face!
Great Meme, Teeni!
What wonderful pictures of you!!! You were a darling little child! So sophistimacated, ya know!!
(note: the artist in me has to point out that the picture of the broken mixer mimics the angles of your body in the photos of your little self above.)
Thanks, Trisha! I had to laugh at you catching that with your artist’s eye. I didn’t even notice that. But maybe it’s why I love my Kitchenaid mixer so much! We are like totally in sync with each other. LOL.
Good thing you didn’t tag me then. The 6th photo folder on my computer has 12 more photo folders inside of it. That would mean I’d either have to post the sixth photo in the sixth folder, which would have made this a 666 meme, or all the photos in the sixth folder, which would have been 17 images, some of which are not very interesting.
LOL. My sixth folder also had folders inside and I had t did take the sixth photo from the sixth folder. I just didn’t want to explain everything and make it the 666 meme because that can’t be good.
I bet all your photos are interesting. And if not, I’m sure you could come up with an interesting story - like maybe how that UFO left the photo behind or something.
Hooray, your site is back up! Thanks for playing along and doing this meme. I feel a bit bad for tagging you as I read the other day that you have a lot of memes to do - sorry!
But this was great. I loved seeing those pics of you as a girl. What a poser, alright! But I agree, you definitely had great taste in shoes, and I’m sure you still do!
Oh, and I’m sorry about the confusing instructions (the 6th “page” of your computer). That’s what it said when I got tagged and I didn’t understand it much either, so I just used my initiative - as you did!
Aw, Hannah. Don’t feel bad. I usually don’t have a problem with lots of memes. Just lately I have been dealing with blogging blahs in general so that is why I got all backed up. Anyway, if I couldn’t do it, I would have told you. So don’t worry about it. I still love shoes but I hope my taste in them has gotten much better.
Oh, and I figured you weren’t the source of the rules problem. It looks like something that happened somewhere along the life of the meme. No big deal. We have to work with what we’ve got, right? Funny how I didn’t even think much about it until someone else commented on it. I kind of just glossed over it myself. The important thing is I got to post my awesome hats. LOL. Love ya, Hannah!
i LOVE seeing old photos of my fellow bloggers! those are priceless!
LOL. Thanks, Slyde - I admit I enjoy that too when I see photos of my fellow bloggers.
I am with Dan- I didn’t get the meme at all- I read the directions three times and was like HUH???? And I thought I was technically inclined… I still think I am a super model but they won’t let me pose anymore- something to do with my flapdoodley belly I got from having five kids.
Lemme at those Daisy Dukes I wanna go out and scare some people.
Hi Michelle! Those shorts were very comfy as I remember - they were not denim like real daisy dukes would have been. But those little tube tops with the elastic shirring in them? - They used to drive me insane because they would itch like crazy when you took them off to change for bed. As for those directions - yeah they were a little squirelly. They got messed up somewhere before Hannah gave them to me. These memes always end up like playing a game of Telephone. LOL.
Ha love those sweet photos and I wanted to cry when I saw your poor KitchenAid… They are the best inventions ever! I love my silver one so freaking much.
Thanks for being able to commiserate with me, Talina! Aren’t they the best?
I like your style you sure do love hats.
Thank you! I DO love hats. I think they are a lot of fun.
