100 Things About Me Part 9 of 10 - Honestly!

Posted By Teeni on January 14, 2009

honesty award

My friend MJ, at Note to Self, awarded me with this Honest Scrap award.  What a great award! It means I’ve fooled some of you some of the time!  ;)  Just kidding.

The award comes with a few strings though as you can see here:

The honorees of this award are to: A) first list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep! B) pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

Since I haven’t finished my 100 things about me yet either, I figure I will kill two birds with one stone here.  How cool is that?  ;)

So, without further ado, here are ten more random and hopefully interesting things about me:

  1. I’m no longer good at multi-tasking.  Actually, I’m not sure I ever was.  I even think I may have a slight touch of autism since I am easily stressed by too much commotion.  For example, I can hear all the conversations in a restaurant going on around me and it drives me crazy.  If there are noisy or crying children, that makes it worse.  It’s too much sensory input and I can’t process it all or concentrate on eating my meal with all that going on around me.  I think the same thing was happening with Facebook and all its applications.  I couldn’t take the stress of all those things going on in the same page.
  2. I have to work hard to stay positive.  I’m not sure how it comes across to others but sometimes I have to force it, even when I am trying to encouraging others.  I’m not always as confident as I force myself to appear but I hope that isn’t noticeable.  It seems to work out for the best even when I have to force it than if I don’t try at all.
  3. I intend to do all sorts of things.  I’m always saying, “I’m going to do knit this or build that or whatever.”  In other words, I have great intentions.  But I don’t do all the things I want or plan to.  I am easily distracted by other things and I forget things or reprioritize them constantly.  I hope to get better about this.
  4. I’m very sensitive to high pitched noises.  My grandmother used to love to stir her tea, rubbing the spoon along the inside of the cup and watching me practically tear my hair out while she pretended to look all innocent.  Sly she-devil!  It was the one and only thing I didn’t love about her.  :)
  5. As we all know by now, my memory is terrible.  But I am finding out that I’m not too far gone to learn new things.  I may have to learn differently than before and in smaller chunks, but I’m not completely hopeless after all.  :)
  6. I’m a VERY good shot with a revolver.  Yes, really.
  7. I keep a journal by my bed for when an interesting thought occurs so I won’t forget it.  This is in addition to a notebook I keep in my purse so I can do the same thing when I’m out.
  8. I do think there IS something to that law of attraction business.
  9. I think I’d like to go back to school for cosmetology but am afraid I’m too old/it will cost too much/may not be able to get a following and make any money out of it.
  10. I would like to use the cosmetology skill for either cancer survivors or for the elderly and not necessarily just in a random salon somewhere.

I tag the following people for their honesty (or maybe it’s just perceived honesty? - LOL) in blogging:

Witchypoo

Honeywine

Birdpress

DragonLady

Joan Harvest

Debo Hobo

Meleah Rebeccah

As always, there is no pressure to complete the meme but please do accept the award.  I know some of you are crazy busy right now but I do find you to be honest bloggers and that is why I chose you.  If you can’t get around to this, then it is just a free link for you.   Really, it would be hypocritical of me to pressure anyone when I am temporarily retiring from these things myself.  ;)

One down and three more of these things to go before I’m done and officially temporarily retired from them!  LOL

I’m not as good at multi-tasking anymore either. Oh, and I took an online test a few days ago that’s supposed to estimate your level of autism (seriously). I won’t tell you my score. If I find the link again, I’ll tell you so you can try it too.

I totally can related to #3.

I don’t like noise either. The vacuum bothers me.

Oh, I’d love to see that test if you can find that link again. Maybe I’ll search for it later. Very interesting although I’m not sure how much I’d trust any online tests. LOL.

Yeah, that’s why I don ‘t vacuum as much as I should. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. It’s NOT cause I spend too much time blogging! ;)

  2. Bobby Revell (74 comments.) says:

I never liked the term “multitasking”–what does it mean? You can walk, talk and chew bubblegum simultaneously?

The law of attraction is a myth, like the myth of karma, law of the jungle or Murphy’s law–it was developed by marketers simply to sell books about “The Law of Attraction”, though if you believe in it, you may have a more positive attitude, but it really has nothing to do with any made up mythical law of nature–it’s the same thing basically as praying. Of course I could be wrong

I wish I could walk, talk, and chew gum at the same time. Oh wait, those actually are some of the few things I CAN do at the same time. LOL.

The law of attraction could be a myth, but I think there is more there than we know. I also think there is more to it than coincidence just based on my own experience. Also, I do agree with you that it IS similar to praying. Of course, I have no problem with that so long as it continues to work and keep me happy. :)

  3. Bird on the Wire (3 comments.) says:

I’m more of a ‘dual-tasker’ myself. I’m kind of awesome at doing two things at once. Add anything new in however, and it gets a little messy.

I can’t believe you know how to shoot a revolver (and is that not the coolest word in the world? It’s not just a gun, it’s a revolver) I’ve never shot a gun before, but I get the feeling I’d enjoy it. :)

LOL. I can only do very simple things at the same time. Even my thought process is different now. I can still think of more than one thing at a time, as I’m sure everyone does without being consciously aware ofi it, but it seems my thoughts have to be simpler in order for me to focus on them. Oh, if you are anything like me, you definitely enjoy shooting a gun! Yes, revolver is a cool word. I don’t like the bigger guns much - too much unnecessary power.

  4. JavaQueen (122 comments.) says:

I swear, reading this made me feel as if we are twins that were separated at birth!

I didn’t know you were not going to meme anymore…. good for you, I know you had written about not spending too much time at the blogging or being more productive with your blog time- some of those meme’s can take up some serious time…

    Love ya!

I’ve got to temporarily retire from them so I don’t burn myself out blogging. I enjoy a good meme every so often but they were starting to make me lose focus - did I ever even HAVE a focus on my blog? I don’t know. But all those memes were cluttering up my thoughts. ;)

  5. TGH says:

Number 6 scares me…but thank god for numbers 3 and 5, they give me a fighting chance if the need should arise.

LOL. Don’t worry honey. I think you’re safe - just be sure to stay on my good side. ;)

  6. birdpress (114 comments.) says:

Once again, you have found more things I can relate to! I also suck at multi-tasking. And I have a terrible memory, short-term anyway. And good intentions with lack of follow-through! And high pitched noises are painful to me, but I think that is related to my tinnitus. I did go back to school for cosmetology… but it was CANINE cosmetology. ;)

Thank you for tagging me for this! I’m honored that you believe all my lies. Ha ha, just kidding. I have no reason to be anthing but honest on here, which I think is one of the reasons to keep a blog. I’ll save all my deception for real life. KIDDING again!

I will do this meme too! It is good timing because I haven’t blogged in a while and it gives me a little head start in getting my mind working on something to write about, while also allowing me some room to be creative with what I write. Thanks again!

LOL. Your posts are always fun to read and very well written. You have a nice style that I think all your blog buddies appreciate. So of course I would love to read your meme. :)

  7. VeggieGirl (102 comments.) says:

I HAVE to multitask, as you know, haha :-D

**Just as a heads up: I will not be able to comment on blogs as often now, during this semester, due to work overload (I’m stressed already) - PLEASE know that I’m still loyally reading, but just won’t have time to comment. I hope you understand!!

LOL. Yup - you are the girl who cannot stay still. Oh, don’t you worry about a thing, VeggieGirl! I totally understand - you take care of priorities and keep us updated only when you can. No stress or pressure from me. You won’t lose my following just because you have real life going on! I’m sending good energy your way.

  8. Allison (26 comments.) says:

I certainly believe in the law of attraction. I don’t have an explanation for it; it just is — does.

As for honesty… I thought that was the whole purpose for blogging. No, really! Me, I get to say things in my blog that I would never say in real life to anyone. But then, that’s my fear of people thing talking.

    Great responses, Teeni.

I agree with you about the law of attraction thing. It just seems to work so I can’t deny it. I didn’t realize you had a fear of people thing. You come across as very likable to me so I don’t know what you would fear. :) Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It’s always good to see you!

  9. witchypoo (176 comments.) says:

Thank you, dear Teeni! You know, when you say this out loud it sounds like Honest Crap. I’m not so sure how honest my blogging is, but at least all the stuff I tell is true. There is so much more that I don’t tell, in the interests of preserving family relationships.

LOL - Leave it to YOU to notice that! Heehee. You don’t have to spill all your beans in order for your blog to be honest. I think it is written honestly enough and even fiction writers can be honest in their writing so there ya go! I think your personality comes across very honestly in your blog and for that alone you deserve the award. Plus, you usually make me laugh so you get bonus points. :)

  10. maleesha (15 comments.) says:

I am good at multitasking, but I am sure I would be better at things if I had the time and concentration to do things ONE at a time!

That’s a great thought and I totally agree with that. Thanks, Maleesha!

  11. Jeanny (25 comments.) says:

Im not a multi-tasker either. When I’m doing something, I am too focus that sometimes, I forgot that there are other things that I got to finish

    Good in revolver…wow cool!

LOL - that’s exactly what happens to me! Thanks about the revolver. I actually like shooting (targets, not people - yet, anyway! LOL)

  12. honeywine (94 comments.) says:

Woohoo! I got tagged! It’s been a while since I’ve meme’d. I hope it’s not like a pap smear. lol And I hope I can find 10 things to be honest about that I haven’t already told everyone. :D

LOL. I’m sure you can think of some things. You normally blog like a stream of consciousness thing and this is more like bulletizing stuff so you could bounce around with your ideas. I’m sure it will be interesting. I’ve yet to read a boring post at your place! :)

  13. iamthediva (126 comments.) says:

Go back and do the cosmetology thing! you’re never too old. When i was 14 my dad, who was a meat cutter all his life, decided to go to university for the first time - he got his Bachelors in Psychology and then got a Bachelors in Commerce (not sure why) then got his Masters in Counselling. He is now 52 years old and starting up his own Marriage counselling practise, as well as Seminars and online marriage prep-courses. I guess the moral of this story is, he’s 52 and he’s never been happier, it was hard but totally worth it.

Then the same time i was going to University for Music, my mom - who was a hommaker/odd jobs cleaning lady all HER life, decided to go and get her Education degree. SO, there you have it.

Oh, this was so good to hear! I really am going to seriously look into this. For some reason, I think I’d really enjoy it and it’s nice to know others have had complete changes of career at later times in life. Thank you, Diva! :)

  14. MacBros (149 comments.) says:

Hey. I thought you said you were done with memes?

Say, weren’t you paying attention? LOL. I am temporarily retiring from them. But I also said that I still owed a couple that I would finish before my official temporary retirement. This was one of them. Stay with me, okay? LOL. ;) Just teasing!

  15. DragonLady (79 comments.) says:

Thank you teeni. :-) I’ll start on the meme during my “mandatory” lunch hour (which hopefully won’t be mandatory for much longer). :D

Whoa - you make it sound like a mandatory lunch hour is a bad thing. I like food! :) LOL.

  16. DragonLady (79 comments.) says:

BTW, has your Meez had some work, because she looks different. I don’t think it’s just the doo… LOL

Yeah, the little hussy heard me say I wanted to go back to school for cosmetology and of course she had to beat me to it. Jerk. ;)

  17. Michelle Gartner (109 comments.) says:

How on EARTH did you get wrangled into a 100 things about me MEME- that’s insane. I don’t even want to know 100 things about myself let alone others. Ok sorry- I just wanted to put that out there and it’s not a personal thing.

hmmmm the law of attraction eh- is that why I read your blog
    I iz attracted 2 u.

LOL! I iz attacted 2 U 2!!!!! Ack - NO, no, no! It’s not a 100 things meme. I didn’t get tagged for it. It’s just something I saw a lot of people doing (some people have a page dedicated to it at their blogs) and I thought it would be fun to do it but I do mine in chunks of ten at a time because I figured it would be easier to write that way and easier for readers to digest and comment on. Funny thing is that it seems to get harder to come up with things each time. Anyway, the meme I was tagged for this time was for ten interesting and honest things about myself and that is the same pretty much as my 100 things about me project so I figured I would get them both done at the same time. Hey!!! I’m MULTI-TASKING!!!!!!!! LOL!

  18. javajunkee (61 comments.) says:

In my job fields I have had to learn to multitask..so that’s second nature to me.

woo hoo another shooter chick. I am good with all kinds of guns. I LOVE target shooting. I went out shooting with friends of mine ..some were cops some were guys in the service. One of the cops took the gun I had away from me insisting I was too good of a shot. :( The tree I was shooting at died and fell down like 2 years later. I still hear about that all the time. I’m called the “tree killer”.

Uh-oh. All the tree-huggers must hate you! LOL! The funny thing is that I have a bit of a shaky hand but I think because I know it, I compensate really well for it. So there are many benefits to trying to know your own body. It comes in handy for assessing your own health and you know, for target practice! LOL. :)

  19. Talina (118 comments.) says:

I am also sucking pretty bad at multitasking. These days ADD has taken over the brain… Oh well, it happens.

Great 10 things, I enjoyed reading about them.

Aw. But YOU have a good excuse for ADD. And I’m sure it’s only temporary. Once the child is born, he or she will end up frying so many of your brain cells that ADD will be impossible due to brain damage. Heehee. Just kidding. :) You are gonna be awesome!

  20. Sterling "Chip" Camden (61 comments.) says:

Noise used to bother me more than it does now — I can usually tune it out.

Multitasking definitely drains me. So why do I do it every effing day?!

I’ll be careful never to make you mad when you are holding a revolver. 8O

LOL. You multitask every day because we like to get lots done - it makes us feel good at the end of the day to have accomplished a lot. I’m getting better about the noises I think. My thyroid medicine really helps keep me from getting as irritated as I used to. Don’t worry - I’d never use a person as a target. Well, you know, unless they really, really deserved it. I can’t see you doing anything to deserve it. :)

  21. Memarie Lane (41 comments.) says:

I’m pretty bad about intentions too. I always find some reason I can’t finish or follow through on something.

Those reasons practically invent themselves sometimes, don’t they? ;)

  22. meleah rebeccah (21 comments.) says:

Congrats to you! I just loved all of your answers.

I am 100% flattered to be included on your list of bloggers you feel worthy of receiving this as well.

I will do my best to get to this as soon as possible!
    xoxoxox

Hi Meleah! I know we have just been getting to know each other better lately although we’ve travelled in the same bloggy circles for a while. I just always appreciated that you seemed to be very honest in your blogging and with your writing in general (your book too). So I immediately thought of you as one of the recipients for this award. :) But, please remember that I don’t pressure anyone for these things so if you can’t get around to it, then don’t worry about it - so long as you know I thought you deserved it then that’s enough for me. Of course if you DO get a chance to do it, you know I’d love to read it! :)

  23. MJ (53 comments.) says:

    Great list!

I too am a great shot with a revolver :D

:) Somehow that revelation didn’t surprise me! LOL.

  24. Hannah (420 comments.) says:

Well as you know, I can completely relate to #2. Sometimes it is hard to be positive, especially during uncertain times. I have to force myself to find the good in things a lot of the time.
And WOW at #6, I would never have guessed! Annie (oops I mean Teeni) Get Your Gun!
I reckon you are never too old to go back to school. When I was at University there were plenty of “mature” students. One old guy I used to see in the library all the time was in his 80’s and on his 4th degree or something! I say go for it!

I know you can relate to that one, Hannah. I wonder if you feel better when you force it too, rather than if you didn’t try at all. LOL. I actually really enjoy shooting targets.

Wow - an 80 year old on his 4th degree? Okay, I’ve got something to live up to now! LOL. Thanks for the encouragement, Hannah. You’re a good friend. :)

  25. thebeadden (86 comments.) says:

    #’s 2,3,5 I can relate to.

#6 I have never shot a gun. Very cool, Teeni!

#9 I hope one day this will happen for you because of #10 ;)

LOL @ #’s 2, 3, and 5. I think a lot of us have issues with those. Shooting a gun is fun. But hitting the target? Awesome!!! ;) Aw, thanks about #’s 9 and 10. I will be calling a few places in the next couple of weeks.

  26. Em (15 comments.) says:

Congrats on another award ;) You can shoot! Yay! I love to go target shooting!

Thanks, Em! Target shooting is a blast! :)

  27. Romi (17 comments.) says:

Let me be an additional person to say that I really, really really DO believe in the law of attraction thing (even though I forget that sometimes during my “negative thought” moments ;-) )

PS: oh my gosh that spoon-stirring-in-tea-cup sounds horrible, I was already cringing just from the description!!!

LOL. I forget too sometimes, Romi. And yeah, the spoon-stirring thing was awful. My grandmother was lucky she was so dang adorable. :)

  28. javajunkee (61 comments.) says:

Ok so on our road trip we are going to have to stop and do some target shooting. YAY!

    YES!!!!!!!!! :)

  29. Eric "Speedcat Hollydale" (124 comments.) says:

VERY good shot with a revolver??? … way?

I have a blogging gun and shoots me some spammers!!! It is really just a cap gun though ;-)

LOL. Yup - way! :) Cap guns are fun too! And so are rubber band guns - I love those things.

  30. Sterling "Chip" Camden (61 comments.) says:

“I can’t see you doing anything to deserve it.”

I can think of a few people who might disagree with you.

Re: multitasking — I don’t think it actually helps you get things done. On the contrary, I think I spend too much time task-switching and end up getting less done. I need to focus more on one thing at a time.

LOL - Hopefully, those people who disagree with me don’t have guns! ;)

I totally agree with you on the multitasking. I think it can be a bad thing. It’s better to get one task done well and in a reasonable amount of time than to have two thing half done and not done with full concentration. Well, except for simple things like walking and chewing gum. That I can see. ;)

  31. iamthediva (126 comments.) says:

I’m glad you’re going to look into it, i think you’ll find going back to school rewarding and learning a skill like that - especially to give back to others - will make you very happy. You have a lot of love to give.

Also, TGH’s comment made me laugh out loud, for reals… none of this LOL business when people SAY they’re LOLing, but really they’re not.

TGH is a funny funny man.

Thanks, Diva. It seems like it would be a rewarding job for me. Yeah, TGH is a funny guy. It saves his butt. LOL. Plus, he’s good to me. Gotta give him lots of credit. :)

  32. rummuser (79 comments.) says:

Teenie, you have now put a worm in my head. I have got to get down to drawing up a list like this to see where it takes me!

Hi Rummy! A lot of people do the list all at one time. But I knew I couldn’t think of that many things about myself at once. LOL. So I broke it up. No matter which way you decide to do it, if you make a list, I’d love to read it. :) Oh, and sorry about the worm! LOL.

  33. [...] Teeni gave me an award and a meme!  It’s all about honesty.  I’m pretty sure that if nothing else comes out in this blog, the one thing that does show up time after time is HONESTY.  My one thought on this is, “What haven’t I told ya’ll?”  There can’t be much left!  But there may be a few scraps of info that I’ve held back on.  We shall see! [...]

  34. meleah rebeccah (21 comments.) says:

Well I am GLAD that we are getting to know each other!

    Me too! :)

  35. Ginger Magnolia (37 comments.) says:

You should totally do the cosmetology! You’re never too old to back to school, hon!!

Thanks, Ginger. I’m glad you don’t think so. I am definitely looking into it.

  36. dcr (157 comments.) says:

I think your Meez has been abducted. There’s a new woman in there. Shall I take care of her for you? LOL!

LOL. Thanks, dcr. I think she’s the same Meez - she just got to cosmetology school before me!

  37. Evyl (120 comments.) says:

I’ll keep number six in mind if we ever meet at high noon.

LOL. I think a person would have to be really mean to me in order for me to want to use it on them. You don’t have to worry. :)

  38. Cath (15 comments.) says:

There are some things I can relate with you. I want to do so many things, sometimes it drives me crazy. I want to knit, to cross stitch, to study other things, to learn new things, sometimes I really hate it! I believe that I shouldn’t have to sleep, I’d have so much time to my projects, my ambitions and everything! I make many things at the same weekend for example, but I can’t seem to get them all done because I always have something else to do! (or I’ve to sleep ;) )

Thank you Cath! I am so glad I’m not alone with that. I do start a lot of things and I want to do EVERYthing, but it really is impossible. I have stayed up too late many times trying to finish things and that is not good either. It puts too much stress on us! I could certainly learn to be more realistic about what I can get done! :)

  39. Sama-lama-ding-dong (15 comments.) says:

*whew* You didnt tag me! Yes! ;)

I love the numbers 9 and 10. You would be so good at that . . and not just the application part, but the interaction with the folks that would receive your service. You should do it.

Aw, thanks - I’m so flattered that you think I’d be good at it! *blushes* And yeah, I didn’t tag you for this one. I did consider you because I do think you are an honest blogger but didn’t think you’d want to get bombarded with memes so soon since you came back. :)

  40. Kami (355 comments.) says:

Multitasking and I do not speak. I have a one track mind and that is that.

You should follow your dream of cosmetology, you really should. You have such a good heart, it would shine through everything you would do for either cancer patients or the elderly. It’s your calling!

And I think there has to be a good story behind that revolver comment, there just has to be ;)

You? Have trouble being positive? You must work exceptionally hard and overcoming that because you inspire me at least once a week to be more positive either through a post here or by a comment on my site. As I emailed you earlier this week, your comments are always like a ray of sunshine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart :)

Well, it seems you know a thing or two about writing inspiring and warm, bright comments because this one did it for me. :) Thank YOU! Love and hugs to you, my good friend.

  41. The Poet Laura-eate (87 comments.) says:

Is the revolver for those days when you need a little confidence boost Teeni?

I do hope it has a silencer on it in view of your sensitivity to noise!

I never could stand those lorries and trucks that stop and go ‘Chhhhhhhhh’ really loudly. Though funnily enough it doesn’t seem to happen so much any more so maybe they have improved their design.

Considering how many bloggers you keep up with and how you answer every comment so quickly, I think you’re an astounding multi-tasker!

LOL. I don’t think I could use a revolver on a person. I hope I never have to find out. Not sure if I trust myself.

Oh, those trucks with those air brakes? Is that what makes the noise? I think it is. I haven’t heard a lot of those lately either now that you mention it. I don’t miss it. :)

Thanks about the multi-tasking. I don’t think I can keep up that blogging pace much longer though so I am trying to make adjustments before I burn myself out. :)

  42. odette (68 comments.) says:

you can’t stand crying children? you remind me of my mom! my dad told me that when we were very young and crying out loud, my mom couldn’t take it and hands us to our dad who would sing and dance to hush us. :D

i couldn’t take the sound of metal rubbing against metal. like a spoon against an aluminum/steel pan/plate/cup…i usually run out of the room when i hear that sound.

i say go for the cosmetology class! i’ve long wanted to learn it, just for the love of doing it! i procrastinated long enough and now i don’t know if i can still do it. i could have learned it very cheaply back in the philippines. :(

it’s a funny list teeni, i have a good picture of you now. :D

Oh, I can stand a norma child’s crying. It’s that high pitched, temper tantrum type screaming they sometimes do that I can’t stand. It is like fingernails down a chalkboard to me. Fortunately I don’t have to hear it very often. It usually only happens in a restaurant when I’m trying to have a nice quiet dinner with my husband. Maybe that’s why I hate it so much. ;)

Oooh - metal against metal is bad too! I totally understand that!

I will definitely be checking out the cosmetology schools! :)

  43. Eric "Speedcat Hollydale" (124 comments.) says:

    Me MEEZ is soooo chillirific!!!!!!!!

    117. I cannot drink coffee without heating it up three times. Tea never lasts quite as long :-)

I’m a slow drinker and could have to heat up either coffee or tea three times before I finish it. This is why I won’t drink American beer. Tastes like mountain lion pee (not that I’d know) if it gets near room temperature. LOL

  44. katie (19 comments.) says:

    the revolver one
    and the positive one.
both those jumped out at me.

i think i find it easy to stay positive cos i am such a Dory - ooo look, something shiny over there… and also i know when i get that feeling i need a sunshine friend injection. my friend clare and i do that for each other. mostly at the beach.

and - i completely surprised myself on a shooting range. i got bullseyes/close to bullseyes with 5 out of six shots! and it probably about the third time i’ve held a gun.
yeah - rocking the world, you and i. JANE Bond. or maybe Jane Blone in my case.
    mwah X

LOL. I think that may be what keeps me staying positive too. I’m definitely easily distracted! :) Shooting ranges are a lot of fun. Okay, I’ll be Jane Bond and you be Jane Blonde! A formidable partnership on the shooting range! Woo-hoo! :)

Oooh … I am so negative now that I have health issues. Its always hard to admit to, but I’m a negative bitch, lol!

Wow. I always think you seem so positive despite your health issues. That’s one thing I’m always amazed at on your site. You must be doing something right. :)

i consider myself a multi-tasker. after all, i started blogging when i felt like i was not getting enough done while sitting on the couch and nursing my child! i wish i could turn that off sometimes and just do one thing at a time and feel good about it!

I really have to turn things off now so I can focus on one thing at a time. Maybe I’m just getting old but I can’t take too much sensory input all at once anymore. It messes me up. So yeah, I’ve got to just work on being happy with doing my best! :) also, i am a collector of crafty things that i intend to do…. ugh.

Hey Teeni, it’s not too late at all for cosmetology and I have an idea for you. I’ll email you. I also have a funny story? A friend who is 50+ and gorgeous decided she wanted to go back to school and be one of those beauty skin technicians (I can’t spell it so why try) and she lasted a week before she remembered that she just can’t stand to touch people. It was so funny and so sad. but funny. anyway. talk at ya soon… “C”

Thanks, CuriousC, I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the email. Oh man - I hope that doesn’t happen to me about the cosmetology. I don’t think I hate touching people. So at least that’s in my favor. LOL.
