My Own Church
Posted By Teeni on June 20, 2009
I let my little brain go wandering again and it ended up in a guest post over at my friend, Talina’s site, Harvest of Daily Life. Right now, Talina is awaiting the birth of her first baby which is why she isn’t posting herself, but she will give twitter updates when she can. So get over there to wish her well, or to read my blatherings, or both!

I commented, but I’m stuck in moderation. I’ve posted pictures of my church before, if you remember.
There’s a door in my basement that came from a church.
Thanks for telling me about the moderation. That is funny about the door in your basement. Witchypoo made a comment over at Talina’s about a church door too. Weird. Who knew there were so many disemchurched church doors around?
Yay for churchy doors and what they allow access to!
Heehee!
hi Teeni! I Am here on my phone … No internet until I move this month. Running by to give you a Hollydale bear hug
Aw, Speedy. I will miss you - thanks so much for the bear hug! Love it!
omgosh … The meez works on this thing!! It is even moving. = (headed over to shoals place) I wonder what I am?? Lolol
LOL - I hope you like yours - it is a mini Meez to go with your mini blogging.
the meez is fabulous teeni…
hope you are feeling better…
off to check out your guest post now
I am amazed at how I am almost always able to find something to coordinate my meez to my post! LOL.
I love Witchypoo’s ‘holy shit’ comment.
Witchypoo IS awesome.
I hope that my comment would get past the moderation process! Great post.
Hi Rummy! I did respond to comments over there but it took a bit for comments to come out of moderation. The poor girl’s husband is handling her blog between working and visiting his wife while she awaits the birth of their baby.
That was funny!
left a comment over there for you too
So glad you enjoyed it. The comments are out of moderation now and I responded to them over there.
I don’t think I ever would have thought of turning a church into a house like you described, that would be a very fun place to visit. None of the churches I’ve gone to were even as close to being as big as you described that one as. I liked it!
I think with buildings like that you can just let your mind go all crazy thinking of what you can do with it. I enjoy architecture for that reason alone. Whenever I see a cool building with little nooks and crannies I always think of what a cool sleeping area for kids that would be or how my cats would love that. LOL. Sometimes I just have to let the brain loose, you know?
I have seen it here too and at one stage was most interested in buying a church to convert into a home. Could you imgaine finding one with the stain glass windows !!!!
That would be neat - I think one of the ones I saw had a couple - not really huge ones or anything but still cool enough in my book. I also heard about a couple who bought a church and renovated it into their own home - they were a young couple and then they claimed the place was haunted. They ended up on the show Ghost Hunters but I believe I remember Ghost Hunters not finding any evidence of their claims. Still very interesting though.
Very cool of you to do this for her. If I was more prepared, I would have thought of doing something like this myself. I hope you are doing well!
Aw, you are too sweet. I hope YOU are doing well. I gotta get to your site and see what you are up to!
Praise the lord now pass the peas….:)
LOL! You cracked me up!
Love it!
I’d keep the pipe organ.
Well, I would keep it if someone that knew how to play it would come and play!
Aw, congrats Talini!
you do NOT blather!
Okay…I will run off to read your guest post now!
Me to - am intrigued!
Moderated the comment and am so grateful that you guest posted for me. Thanks a ton!
You are most welcome, little mama!
Congratulations!
