About Teeni
I’m the stay at home wife of a techno-geek, the “mother” of two cats, and the best aunt ever, if I do say so myself. I’m also a cancer survivor, but this is not a cancer blog. Instead, it is my happy place. I hope you will join in the fun and games (and an occasional rant because I’m only human after all)!
About the Vaguetarian Tea Room
This is a personal blog, written by me, and it is totally influenced by my opinions, my thoughts and my perceptions/observations about life.
Why the “Vague”tarian Tea Room? Because I’m vaguely a vegetarian. I have some vegan, whole food, and raw tendencies also but I’m not strictly falling into any of those categories since I cook much of my food and will on occasion eat a bit of meat or dairy. I grew up on a conventional American junk food diet that included lots of fried and fast foods, so I don’t beat myself up about it when I fall short. I concentrate on what I can do. In other words, this is not a niche site. It’s a tea room because I think of “going to tea” as going out with friends to a cozy little place where you will not be rushed, where you can eat some yummy food, get treated well, play some games, have fun, and maybe even learn something while you’re at it.
Anyone who is kind and is respectful of others is welcome to join in on any of the fun going on here. However, I will not condone personal attacks or general negativity. Life is too short for that crap and I will do all that is in my power to keep the Tea Room a positive place. The Tea Room is a family friendly site - I have many family members who visit/may visit here and although I’m no prude, I’d like to keep it pretty clean - the same kind of clean I get by sweeping things under the rug at my home when family comes to visit.
Don’t get the wrong idea - I’m no Perfect Pollyana. This is just the type of blog I want to have here and in no way dictates what type of blog my friends have or that I’ll visit.
To make your experience here more enjoyable, you should probably know how I feel about the following things and/or why I do things the way I do at the Tea Room.

Moderating Comments at the Tea Room - I moderate comments at the tea room for new commentators until I am reasonably certain that they are not a spam threat or a troll commentator. So if you are new here, your comment may not show up right away. My regular commentators’ comments will show up immediately. Don’t bother leaving a comment if you are just trying to leave a trackback. You are just wasting your time since your comment will be deleted. Hi! Stopped by to check out your new blog! Can’t wait to read more. I hope you perfect your meat-free hot dog.
Hi T Nee… enjoyed visiting your new blog site. Your witty sense of humor is awesome! Hope you are doing well. Luv Mary
Hi T! Just letting you know that I stopped by to check this out!
FYI we use wheat gluten in place of eggs in anything that needs eggs because of his allergy to it, I really do think that you get ‘used’ to it. My other boys don’t even know the difference anymore!
We have also tried various forms of mayonnaise and found that our family favorite is “Nayonaisse”, however Corey has decided that he doesn’t like any of it anyway!
I enjoy both the blogs and the TnT times! You have much more creative enegry than I can fathom at this time in my life!
Hi. This is the first blog that I have read.
Very interesting!!!!! I’ll keep coming back for more interesting info.
I’m so glad you all visited! Thank you for stopping in. Denise, all I can say about the energy is I don’t have to chase a bunch of boys around like you do so it just “seems” like I have more. I’ll have to find out more from you on how you use wheat gluten to substitute for eggs. I’ve never heard of that (so much is news to me). You’ll have to fill me in. Hugs to you all!
I am so impressed!!! What fun… And I’m so prowd of you.. Are we still getting together Friday to cook something really good?????
See you then.. D
Teeni: I just added you to my blogroll, I hope that’s ok!
ooh, you changed your theme! it’s fresh for summer!
Vaguetarian…I like that.
Thanks, Beth!
Uh, yeah, like I said, I have a short memory and it’s not very good.
I remember reading it now.

It’s a great name Teeni!
Thanks, Kami! I have the same kind of memory so don’t worry about it!
YOur blog has made me want to be a vegetarian LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been thinking about it for years
You can do it if you want to Kaylee. You certainly can find a lot of support for that online. Plenty of great vegetarians on here and even vegans if you want to go completely animal free.
I think I will I mean I dont eat many meats anyway….
The gentle Vegetarian that’s how I see you
I’m still dipping in and out as I’m making lots of changes to our family’s way of eating. DH had a heart attack 3 yrs ago so it’s crucial that we do watch what we eat. DH loves his red meat which makes it difficult of course.
I’m going off track but I just wanted to say I’m with you on this — trying things that work and easing into it.
Thanks, Diane! I usually do try to be gentle except when I need to vent like my Holiday shopping rant. LOL. I do wish your hubby well. It’s not easy but it is worth it and it takes a while to adjust but if I can do it, anyone can.
I really enjoy hanging around your site, and you seriously increase my craving for tea every time I’m here!
PS: I have a cat too…see? Now I know why we get along so well, hahaha….
Happy New Year!
But your site is a lot of fun too. You are a funny writer and I love your posts.
Well, you are always welcome to hang here! I love when you come to visit!
Hi teeni, I just checked out the Meez page and I entered your user name so you could get the points (whatever good that will do, I’m not sure). Thanks for the cool link! I had fun creating my animation.
Aww, thanks LumpyLumps! The points allow you to “purchase” some of the clothing and animations. Most are free but some require meez coinz. You can earn some yourself by playing games or getting other people to use your name as a referral. Oh, and welcome to the Vaguetarian Tea Room. I think I’ve seen your name at some of my regular haunts (can’t remember which ones at the moment). Now I’m going to check your place!
Hi teeni,
I just wanted to say thanks for all the looks on my page! I really really appreciate it!!!
crayzblonde
LOL - No problem. I had fun visiting. I’ll be back!
Hi Teeni, like the new look! I’ve been a lurker of yours tho I think I’ve commented eversooften… Thx for coming by and saying hi! We can have our own quiet CBC chapter here on the ‘net, maybe? SO, am I safe to assume that TGH stands for Tech Geek Husband? Have an awesome day, “C”
